This is the house that we rent from Sher-Den Realty. We've lived in this house for approximately 10-months, and are very happy with the realty from whom we rent the house. Though it's not large, it is a cozy little three-bedroom one-bath home in the Southeast end of Sherman, Texas. The interior of the house could do with some fresh paint, and the trim in all the rooms needs correcting, but all-in-all it's nice. There is no garage, nor is there a carport because the garage was made into a den. The West end of the den is one solid case for books; however, there is a large window in the middle of the shelves. The living room is a nice size, but the walls are a peach color. I assume that this was once decorated in a South-Western theme, although that particular type of style has dissappeared, for the most part, in Texas homes.
The smallest of the three bedrooms is used for our computer and all her assorted equipment. It's a pleasant little room; warm in the winter, and cool in the summer. The walls are white featuring a border of checkers above the wainscoating. Approximately 1-foot from the ceiling there is another border of pink and purple flowers trimmed with a leaf pattern. The hardwood floors are a beautiful light walnut color. Elvira -- our computer -- must like the room because she is behaving much nicer since we moved her from the den to this room.
The kitchen is bright; however, it's lacks enough storage space and has an awful light -- green on green paint -- on the cabinets that are present. The dishwasher doesn't work properly but it's of little consequence, because my husband and I enjoy doing the dishes. For whatever reason, we have a white stove and a cream colored refrigerator. It's not the realtors fault, because the two appliances belong to us. I'm not at all sure what we were thinking when we purchased them. The flooring in the kitchen is linoleum, and a very pleasant pattern of diamonds.
The bathroom is a hideous combination of colors although, everything works as it should. I could do without the water-saving tank on the commode, but it works. The bathtub is old, and needs replacing ; however, this too works properly.
The two larger bedrooms, well, let's say simply that I'm not often in either of them and therefore, have taken little notice of their coloring, or disposition. My husband and I often fall asleep on the fouton while watching the television.
The frontyard is larger than the backyard and a decent size. The backyard is fenced with chain linking. The neighborhood is quiet with little excitement, save Halloween. My first "Trick or Treater" was Clifford the Big Red Dog; however, he was about 2 1/2-years old and on the smallish side. I had several "Homicidal Maniacs," because they do look just like everyone else. I had a few teenagers, but not nearly as many as we have had in Halloweens of the past. As usual, this year brought several trick or treaters dressed as princesses, and I had a few fireman come to the door in need of treats -- all very small children. I did have one father who accompanied his fairy princess to my door dressed in a gorilla suit, and I thought he was a kiddo. Imagine my surprise when informed of the facts?
I hoped that you have enjoyed my world. Take care and love the home you're in, because any house may be a home if love is present.
