Roving cowboy's quick Geeky Chicken Soup.
created by keith hall.
( the geeky is in cooking with microwave )

come on you chicks that is a ghost of your dad
he froze when he heard the words
chicken and soup said at the same time.
so they got him and left us with his ghost.
now let that be a lesson to you when you hear
chicken soup.
don't freeze or they will get you too.
ah mom thats just an stupid old chicken statue.

a stupid old chicken statue?
not me
but what happen to my color?
and why can't I move anymore?.

so you ready for chicken soup?

okay here goes.
don't touch anything sharp with out being careful not to cut your self.

don't touch anything after it is cooked until it is cool enough to touch with out getting burnt.

get a microwave oven. you either got a 700 watt or a 1000 watt oven.
just subtract 45 seconds from the times for the 1000 watt oven because it cooks faster.

1. get a microwave safe 4 quart bowl. fill it 1 third full with cold water.

2. stick the bowl of water in the microwave set the timer for 120 to 180 seconds and start it.
now get your spices ready and when the timer dings get your bowl of hot water out and place it on the counter.

3. get 1 table spoon of butter or margin place it in the water.
and rinse the spoon off and dry it.
( so the spices don't stick to it ).

4. get 1 table spoon of oregano. put it in the bowl of water with the butter.

5. get 1 table spoon of garlic, put it in the bowl of water.

6. get 1 half a cup of chopped diced and minced carrots put it in the water.

7. get 1 half a cup of chopped diced and minced celery and put it in the water.

8. get 4 table spoons of instant potato flakes. and put it in the water

9. get 1 table spoon of black pepper, put it in the bowl of water.

10. take the bowl and place it back in the microwave oven
set the timer for
120 to 180 seconds. and start it.
don't let it splatter in the microwave so watch it and stop it the microwave if it starts to splatter.

11. now take it out of the microwave oven again and get 4 packages of raman chicken noodle mix.
open the bags take the spice packages out and break up the noodles and put them in the bowl of hot water.

12. now get 2 thirteen ounce cans of chicken breasts and open the cans and put the chicken and water in the bowl.

(okay I can hear all you cooks out there now.
fainting at the can'ed chicken.
but it is already cooked just needs reheated.
so I use it for speed. other wise this would take about an hour
Please check the extra step Number. 15.)

now put the bowl back in the microwave oven for
180 seconds being
careful not to let it splatter again. when finished take out the bowl.

13. now add the packets of spices and stir them in.
and put back in to the microwave for
60 seconds.
just to replace any heat lost while stirring, and to let the spice's
flavor absorb in to the soup.

14. now take some soup crackers and put in the bowl.
wait for it to cool down so you can touch the bowl then carry to table sit down
at the table and enjoy a bowl of chicken soup.

you can adjust the amounts for more or less
depending on the size of bowl and can of chicken used.
there is
no salt needed to be added because
the spice packets from the noodles have all the salt needed.

this should make enough bowls of soup
for
2 adults and 3, 10 year old or younger kids.
or it makes enough for just
1 teenage boy for his lunch and supper.

this should take no longer then 17 minutes to prepare cook and eat
if you have all the stuff at the house before you start.

I have been told that some people in other country's
don't have cann'ed chicken.
sorry I did not know that.
15. so here is what to do if you don't have canned chicken.
you will need to get
4 boneless chicken breast's and
cut them to
1 inch cube's place them in a 2 quart pan of water
and Boil them on top of the stove for as long as it takes to
boil food on your stove at you're altitude above or
below sea level. here it takes me about
10 minutes to
boil the chicken in a pan on my stove.

after you have boiled the chicken you will
need only
all of or only 1/2 of the water left in the pan
About
1/2 a quart should be enough water
to add in to the bowl of noodles.

this extra step of cooking the chicken on the stove top should make
this take no longer then
45 minutes it takes longer because
you have to cut up the chicken and cook it which
takes time then you have to breing the water to a boil
before you put the chicken in it,
so it will take longer to prepare cook and eat
if you have all the stuff at the house before you start
