Roving Cowboy's Texas Biscuits and Gravy.
Was Also called Meat And Gravy Over Bread
by Keith Hall.

You say you know this dish,
So where is the Texas part coming from?
Answer. The Beef instead of pork and the use of
Only; Red or Black Pepper and steaksauce instead of any other spices.

okay here's a old one that is a favorite of mine.
some think it is poor man's food or slave's food,
but so was boiled lobster.
this is rather simple as you can tell by the name.
this is all for one person so if you want to serve more,
then this way you have it easier,
just multiply all this by the number of people you want to server.
No matter how many you are serving this should be ready 2 minutes
After the meat has been browned and mixed in the gravy.
because you can get the gravy made while the meat is browning,
which takes about 15 minutes and also you can sit the gravy
on the side and get the plates ready.
unless you elected to make your own biscuits, if you did then you better have the
oven preheated and the biscuits in it cooking before you started the meat.
which is another reason i elect to use store bought bread.
(Speed)
this is the meat portion.

1.get half pound of ground beef and brown it in the skillet on the stove.
break it up in to little pieces as to sprinkle it over a pasta dish.
2.now when it is browned. mix it in to the the gravy.
i don't use the fat from the beef i dump that to cut back on bad cholesterols,
instead i use two table spoons of virgin olive oil or other vegetable oil.
3.whisk this gravy and meat mixture up to make sure its well mixed.
this is for the gravy.

1. get a one quart pan.
2. fill it with one pint of cold water.
3. put in pepper to taste either red or black.
about half a teaspoon or less.
4. put in one cup of flour i use all purpose.
5. whisk until there is no lumps
6. heat on low to medium low heat and whisk to keep from lumping up.
this will make a white gravy if you want brown just add in some
Worcestershire sauce (Do Not Multiply this by the number to serve.)
about a half a teaspoon just to make it brown up.

before you add in the virgin olive oil or other vegetable oil.
you need to adjust the flour and or water to make it as thin or as thick as you like.
(No matter how much gravy you are serving. Don't Add any more then 1 table
spoon of Worcestershire adding too much of this will make it bitter tasting.)

You Can Also just mix up your own style of brown gravy
or by a box of gravy mix and use it.

now for the biscuits.
which are really not biscuits at all.

i use store bought sandwich bread.
its faster and i can't eat milk so i don't make buttermilk biscuits.
if you want to make them thats up to you.
but for one person you need 5 normal sized biscuits.
take one 12 inch plate off of the shelf and break the biscuits
or the 3 slices of sandwich bread in to pieces in the middle of
the plate.
now take the gravy and meat mixture and pour over the bread.
sit down at the table with your glass of water
or other drink and enjoy your breakfast.
