Wow! What's it like working for Mercy Me? (hehehehe. isn't it great!)
lol...it's really fun. i love working with those guys and their hearts are amazing. what you see on stage is what you get off stage. their hearts are 'tuned for worship' and that makes working with them easier. every night is a new experience and i look forward to seeing new worshipers...
What are your occupational responsibilities?
ooo...responsibilities...that's kinda scary...me? responsible? i guess i the guy that takes care of making sure that we have everything we need when are leading worship somewhere. i make sure there is enough water, that the seats for the audience are taken care of, that the air conditioner is running before we get there...important things like that. :) i also run sound during the concerts...
I bet you're pretty busy! What do you do in your free time--what little of it there is....
HAHAHAHAHAH...free time? let me get off the floor before answering this one. hehehe...just kiddin'...really though, we have been busy lately, but it's a different kind of busy. we don't have 'normal' schedules so one minute you have an entire week off and the next you are on the road for two weeks. my time lately has been spent resting and getting ready for upcoming concerts. but more importantly, most of my time that i have is spent with my girlfriend kristen. being away from her isn't fun...but she's amazing and a great support.
What is your dream concert tour?
one letter, one number. U2. :) who wouldn't want to tour with them? however...i think it would be awesome to tour with someone like delirious.
Do YOU sing or play any instruments?
attempt to sing and can play a mean trombone.
Do you plan to always be a road manager?
i honestly don't know what God has in store for me. i'm learning so much at what i'm doing...it's so much fun! i know i'll always been in ministry...so let's leave it at that. :)
What is your motto? You know... what do you live by?
my motto...God first. others second. me third. i think this is a 'motto' from kanakuk kamps (i never went)...a friend shared it with me. if there has been anyone that has modeled Christ to me any more clearly it would have to be my parents. they have modeled to me what it was to be a servant. i can only hope to stand in their shadow...
Who is your hero and why?
my hero...would have to be paul burton. he is the front of house engineer (he runs sound) for delirious. he has an amazing mix and maybe one day i'll be that good. hehehe
If you could tell the whole world one thing, what would it be?
don't get too busy. take time to stroll...take time to drive slow with the windows down. life is too fast anyway!
