In August of 2003, we took a vacation to North Carolina and stayed at the Biltmore Estate. The Biltmore house is the largest house in the United States with 250 rooms. We didn't stay in the actual house, but we stayed in a hotel on the estate.
After the tour of the Biltmore house, we took a tour of the winery. These are some of the 3,000 gallon tanks that process the grapes.
Tara, Travis, Dad and I had a great time going horseback riding through a part of the 8,000 acre forest on the Biltmore property.
During our stay in North Carolina, it rained almost everyday. All of the rain kept everything green. This was in one of the gardens by our hotel.
And of course when we went to North Carolina, we couldn't pass up Chimney Rock. This is a 400 foot waterfall that is about half a mile from Chimney Rock.
The mountain air made me shrink as you can see, compared to Travis.
