In
Over Your Head
Thinking he
is rescuing a child hitchhiker from the rain on a desolate road,
Cody stops to offer assistance, only to discover that he has picked
up a young, pretty Vietnamese woman. When he starts to question
her, the lady-in-distress breaks into tears, melting his heart.
Learning that she does not have a destination, he politely invites
her to stay at his house, never dreaming that she might take him
up on it, but she does.
His mystery
lady, Kim, doesn't reveal much about herself, then disappears a
few days later, leaving nothing but a handwritten thank you note.
Immediately
the FBI arrives, searches his house, and places Cody under house
arrest. Cody discovers that others are also desperately searching
for Kim, and all suspect that Cody is involved.
Using his computer
skills to search for Kim, Cody places himself squarely in the middle
of a vicious struggle between the FBI and several ruthless groups
of bad guys, including a U.S. Senator, drug smugglers, and the Mafia.
Cody struggles to stay one step ahead of the hunters while attempting
to decipher the mystery of their aggressive quest.

GREAT
BOOK! Jun. 1, 2001
Reviewer: Morgan U. Fort Walton Beach, FL.
I
loved this book. I cant wait until the next one in the series
is out. Not only did the book keep me totally wrapped up in the
story, but it was masterfully written. I also loved the fact that
it was short enough to read in two or three sittings. Mr. Hillhouse
hit the nail on the head with this book, I now have another author
to add to my favorites list. If you want to read an entertaining
book that will make you keep reading, this is the book for you.

Reviewer: an avid mystery fan
I would consider myself a credible reader,
as I have been reading mysteries all my life, from Nancy Drew to
Agatha Christie to Nero Wolfe. I approach new authors with hesitancy,
but this one came highly recommended, so I gave it a shot. Now all
I can say is, When is the next book coming out, Mr. Hillhouse?
Excellent work!
