Saturday night while at Grandma Lois', Rusty fell off the dog house.  There are several versions to the story starting at "he was up there by himself" to "someone pushed him off".  He came in the house crying with his arm hurting and fell asleep on the couch with an ice pack on it.  When we left to come home it was raining and the streets were flooded.  Sunday morning he still wasn't using his arm.  I took him to the hospital where they x-rayed it and said it was nursemaid's elbow.  The doctor pulled his arm back into place, put him in a sling and sent us home.

Wednesday morning an x-ray tech called me from the hospital and said we needed to take him to a ortho specialist because his arm was broken and the dr. at the hospital didn't catch it.  We got an appointment for the next day.

The dr. that pronounced Rusty's arm broken
Rusty got stickers for being good while they took his x-rays.  Sure enough his arm was broken.
Rooby Doo stickers!
Rusty's arm was broken right above the elbow where the force of the fall made his arm bend backward.  Instead of bending it broke.  This obviously isn't his arm, but it illustrates where it was broken.
Johnny wrapped Rusty's arm up in a splint with a cross bar.  He'll have to wear this for two weeks, then come back for another x-ray.
He is NOT happy about this.
After I threatened to spank him he smiled.  Go figure.  Guess my threats don't hold much weight, eh?
After swimming at Hero's Water World with Grandma Lois, Aunt Melody and assorted cousins, he came home with a broken splint.  We called Johnny and asked him what we should do about it.  He told us to come in the next day and have another one made.
