My favourite musicians and bands
(Alternative:)
Alanis Morissette (since December 1997; when I listened to "Ironic" consciously for the very first time.)
La Oreja De Van Gogh (since July 2001; when someone recommended this band to me, it was "Cuidaté" that I heard for the very first time - I was so stunned.)
The Cranberries (since 1996, when "Salvation" came out; but actually my best friend brought me to this band. She constantly played "No Need To Argue" and especially "Ode To My Family" off that record.)
Jewel (since January 1999; it was around that time when "Hands" was on heavy rotation on VH-1. So, it was the video that caught my eye.)
Tori Amos (Y Kant Tori Read) (since December 1998; when I heard "Crucify" for the very first time.)
Heather Nova (since June 1998; it was when "Siren" came out and "London Rain" was released as a single.)
Poe (since October 2001; I bought her album right after I had heard "Haunted.")
Catatonia (since November 2000; I heard Cerys voice for the first time at her duet with Tom Jones back in 1999. They were singing "Baby, Itīs Cold Outside." She has an amazing voice.)
Penelope Houston (since February 2002; when I heard "Voices" from the album "Birdboys" for the very first time. The album is from 1987.)
Kate Bush (since September 2001; that was around September 11th when I heard "Running Up That Hill." - I had heard that song thousand times before but around that time I started really listening to her music. It was "Hounds Of Love" I bought around that period. The songs corresponded to my mood those days.)
Sarah McLachlan (since September 2000; I bought one of her albums right after I had seen the video to "Sweet Surrender" for the first time.)
Luke Haines (from Black Box Recorder) (since October 2001; when I heard an acoustic version of "Never Work" at an independent radio station. He has such a great voice which made me immediately think of Joe Jackson or Lloyd Cole. Unfortunately the album version of that song isnīt half as good as the acoustic version but they told me that this special version is not available and I canīt find that Promo anywhere either, how sad.)
Sheryl Crow (since September 1998; around that period when I saw "My favourite mistake" for the first time.)
Fiona Apple (since January 2000; of course, since "Fast As You Can.")
Ani Difranco (since May 2001; since I heard "Shy.")
(Latin/Pop:)
Thalia (since October 2001; I think it was when I saw the remix of "Amor A La Mexicana" con banda somewhere on TV.)
Paulina Rubio (since February 2001; when I heard "Y Yo Sigo Aqui." So fantastic.)
Shakira (since April 2001; when I first listened to "Ojos Asi." Somehow I thought she was an Arabic singer.)
Papa Levante (since March 2002; when I heard "Practicar Sexo" on a Spanish radio station.)
Steps (since December 1998; since "Heartbeat/Tragedy", of course. Thanks to our British radio station BFBS!!)
