TEASER - One of the main reasons why Phalinghast is called the dark city is because of the dense fog that hangs over the city at all times. The fog is created by the thousands of steam engines that are constantly at work in the city. Because of this, the sun's light never really reaches Phalinghast. Combined with the fact that the city has a very gothic look, ominous rotating gears, escaping steam screaming endlessly into the darkness, and is the base of Divinity Cross's notorious thieves guild: The Shadow Caste; The cities nickname seems very well earned.
