The Races of Phalinghast

Gnomes are the majority race in Phalinghast, though a regular visitor would never know it. This is due to the gnomes of the city constantly working on their latest inventions, or perfecting those inventions, and lastly marketing those inventions. Thus, the gnomes are very rarely found outside of their shops which casts the illusion of human dominance in Phalinghast. Though they are the mojority, the gnomes are not known for political power within Phalinghast, this is also due to the lust for technology that plauges the gnomes. Their pursuits in the technological aspects of their lives, leaves very little else for their existence. However there are the VERY RARE exceptions, and they are shunned and ridiculed by their peers for not inventing anything and wasting their time.

Humans of Phalinghast are not too much different than the humans of other City-States, arrogant and always seeking more wealth and power in their short lives.

Half-Orcs are rare in Phalinghast, though they are not unheard of. However those half-Orcs that are in Phalinghast, were not raised in Phalinghast and are often from Thrul. Half-Orcs are often employed for their muscle by gnomes, and employed by the Shadow Cast for their skill in combat.

Elves prefer to keep their distance from Phalinghast. They find the poison of the technology revolting, and can not tolerate days with no sunlight.
