Hello, fellow Buzzards. Let's start our New Year of bowling off with a bang by everyone attending our next gathering at AMP in The Woodlands on September 12, 2004. Remember membership dues of $12.00 will be due and the fee for the new Buzzard shirts is $20.00.

An informal meeting of Officers was held at President Stephens' home. The discussions covered the hosting of the National Tournament in 2006 (from pros & cons, theme, banquet ideas etc. ), duties of officers, how to encourage participation of old and new members.

Five teams went to Tyler for the National Tournament. Those that went are: Bemeta Stallings, Bill Morgan, Edna Gilchriest, Jim Fagan, Richard&~ylene Arnold, April Weir, Brian Vice, Jiinmie & Tamara Follis, Jerry Peoples, Jessica Gelston, Elaine Swaim, Mike Cook, Pete Townsend, Jim Pasket, Jon & Mary Stephens, and Mitch and Susan Mitchell. Some bowled well, some bowled so-so and some not so-so, but all had fun. Next year's Tournament is in Houston. Let's try to have a BIG turnout.

The resolutions for a National level set of by-laws and tournament rules & forms were tabled for further discussion. Some folks think that each Chapter should run the show when hosting the Tournament instead of having aBoard ofDirectors on the National Level and representatives from each chapter where as others think it would be beneficial to old and new Chapters to have a National set of By-laws and Directors.

Happy September Birthday to Denise Wimer on the 16th, Craig Beckmeyer on the 18th, Jon Stephens on the 21st, and Robert Thomas on the 27th.

Happy Belated Anniversary to Craig and Fran Beckmeyer on September 1 st and Richard and Gaylene Arnold on August 2Oth.
