Celebrity Interview with Stacey Hayes of Lingo

With TGSI correspondent Alex Davis.

Alex: Thank you very much for your time for this small interview.

Stacey: No problem at all!

Alex: First question: Did you see the GSN or 80's version of Lingo before you received this job?

Stacey: No, actually I didn't.

Alex: Ok, on the topic of Lingo, how did you approach getting this wonderful job?

Stacey: I went through a long, multiple audition process and was thrilled when I beat out many other hopefuls! I felt blessed to be chosen over so many lovely girls.

Alex: Very blessed as I can tell. On a slightly less cheerful note, as I have seen, you have recently posted on the GSN message boards. I am sure you have seen some of the negative things people have said about your position. What do you think about all of this, and how do you handle this?

Stacey: I was initially quite shocked by it, but then realized it was extremely naive to think that EVERYONE would enjoy it as much as I did...BUT, all those terrific people who have been so positive and supportive have more than made up for the negative comments that are a normal part of being in show-biz and on public display!

Alex: On those message boards everywhere, people are dying to find out information on the Tournament of Champions. Is it possible to tell the fans how it is going to work and, again, if possible, the dates?

Stacey: 4. I'm as much in the dark about this as everyone else is..... I really do not know any of the details, I'm sorry.

Alex: And the giant burning question of all of the game show world: I hope I am not being too personal with this one, but this has also been addressed. People seem to think Chuck and yourself are a couple because of the thing I like to call "chemistry" but others call it flirting. If I am being too personal, you do not have to respond to this, but just to put the rumors down, are you and Chuck a couple?

Stacey: No, Chuck and I are not a couple, and never have been. What some people have viewed as 'inappropriate flirting' was in reality just two people who were having a jolly good time together on camera. we LOVED doing the show so much and it really shows in the 'chemistry' we shared on air!

Alex: On a better note, where are you from and would it be possible to receive a brief glimpse into the life of Stacey Hayes?

Stacey: I was raised equally in the U.K and the U.S.A and so I'm half and half I guess. I LOVE California and especially the beaches here. The Southern California lifestyle suits my personality very well.

Alex: One thing that interested me is that you have been a competitive ice-skater. I have played ice hockey for a long time so I liked to hear this. What are some other hobbies?

Stacey: Yes, I was a competitive ice-skater for several years and I loved every minute of it. I like ice-hockey a lot, it is an absolutely wonderful sport. I also enjoy running, dancing and rollerblading (along the beach of course!)

Alex: Any future products that fans of your work should look for?

Stacey: I currently have 3 national commercials running (beauty products), and a feature film in the works.

Alex: Congratulations on your wonderful work on Lingo, and I hope you have much more success in the future. Thank you for your time!

Stacey: Absolutely, you may post this interview........I appreciate your interest.
