A TRUE CAJUN

"Bonjour Mon Ami!"
"Hello My Friend!"

We are a family that was raised on a rice farm in the small town of
Branch, Louisiana.

If you are a Taylor, Johnson, or Richard,
we are probably kin.

This town is so small if you blinked your eyes you were through it.

We had alot of bad times on the farm but mostly it was all good.

We got to milk cows, feed the chickens, pick cotten, slop the hogs,
and gather eggs.
Doesn't that sound like fun?

It was hard work but there was always the hours of riding horses,
crawfishing, eating watermelons right out the truck patch

We would all gather together with the kin folks down
the road and listen as they played
their guitars, violins, accordions and french harps.

The singing and fellowship was great.
Those were the days.

I have to admit I dont miss the outhouses and
lack of air conditioners.

In 1961, our mother Mettie Ruth, passed away at the age of forty.

You couldnt ask for a nicer or sweeter person.

My oldest daughter, Angela Ruth is named after her.

We all miss and love her very much.

In 1992, our father, Delmore passed away also.

Altho he was a rice farmer after our mother died he became a carpenter
and was a darn good one.

He is loved and missed very much also.

Here are some pictures we would like to share with you.

"Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouller!"
"Let The Good Times Roll!"

This is a photograph that was taken very many years ago.

Grandmother Eve Fusiler and Grandfather Edmond Fusilier.

I am named after Grandma Eve, my name being Evelyn Jane.

Grandma Eve's mother was a Johnson and was full bloodied Indian

Grandpa loved his french music and you could find him in his
rocking chair just a rocking and listening

The girl standing between the grandparents is Delores, which is the oldest of
the five Fusilier children.

The boy is Darrel. The only male being raised
with four sisters.

Mettie Ruth and Delmore
A few years before she passed away.
She had been sick for many years.

We sure miss you both very much.

Delores and Joe

Delores is the oldest of the five Fusilier children.

Joe had a little to much fun at
the family reunion.

Darrel and Sandy

He has five children and lives in Tennesee.
He is a pilot on the Mississippi River.
He plays guitar, keyboards, writes and sings music.

Wondering what he is grinning about?

Janie and David

Janie and husband David live in Houston.
She has one son and two daughters.
She has three stepdaughters also and
bunches of grandchildren.

Wonder what David was smirking about?

She has a son name Joshua.
Josh is married to Ginny and they have a son name Dylan

Mary is hoping that Mandy and Clayton will make her
grandma one day.

just a little on the crazy side.

Hope you have enjoyed meeting us and please come again.
