Elkhart House Project -

Cabinet work

I started some of the cabinet work in Houston the past couple weeks.  Here's what I have so far.

This island will go in the kitchen. When finished it'll have 2 drawers and a couple bottom open shelves.  A friend gave us the maple butcher block top.
I now have the doors and shelves completed on this.  It a buffet thing to put dishes in.
The armoire on the right will go in our bedroom.  It was actually a prototype for the mahogany one of the left.  That one went to Morgan's school for a trophy case.
This is the 12' base cabinet section for the kitchen.
A closer look shows the rail and stile doors with the bead board panel inserts.  There is also no center stile.  When you open both doors there is a 32 inch wide opening for putting in really big and wide stuff.
A vanity for the upstairs bath.  The downstairs looks like this one...just a bit bigger.
Painted pine and ash (top) dining table.
