Elkhart House Project - July 28, 2001 Moving along with the decking. Solo again this weekend. I'm trying to get it dried in but just can't get it done in a day. Good thing is there hasn't been much (really no) rain. Victoria's kid were with us this weekend. They came down from Charlotte.

My two helpers taking a break on the roof. Blake left and Brady right. It's a fun spot with the breeze that's always around. |

A little more shape with the decking up the front. |

Next time I say I want a 10/12 roof somebody stop me!! It's even steeper than it looks. It's 20' from the ridge to the slab. |
|
The sales staff taking a break. Morgan left and Abigail right. Morgan will take you on a tour of her cactus trail. |

Slow work when flying solo. We quit a little early to get back to Houston. One more strip of decking at the top, cut the overhang, a little fascia, tar paper and the roof is done for a while. After 30# felt I'll roof it when it's cooler. We'll then build the upstairs outside walls and put up some hardiplank. |
