Pictures Of Horses I Ride

Captain Bailey
"Cappy"

Cappy is a six year-old, bay, Quarter Horse gelding that I am riding in lessons at my new stable. He is quite a character! I showed him with the NTHJC during the last part of the 2001 show season in the Limit Walk/Trot and Limit Rider divisions.

Nick

Nick is a palomino Thoroughbred gelding. He used to live on a working ranch in Beaumont, Texas where they don't keep horses over 15 years of age, so now he is going to begin life as a Tejas Rider mount.

Ol' Yeller

Ol' Yeller is a palomino Quarter Horse gelding. Sadly, he has arthritis but he knows his stuff and is very dedicated to his job. Ol' Yeller and I won the 2001 EQ Challenge high-point award... good boy!!

Maxwell

Maxwell is a bay Quarter Horse gelding. He spends his weekends bringing up drag on the trails and can be quite a slow poke. I occasionally ride him for practices, demos, and trails.

Butch

Butch is an Arab/QH that I rode last year for drill team. He came to us from Louisiana where he was used as a play-day horse. His previous owners either got tired of him or out-grew him, and we bought him. Now that I'm on blue team, Wolfy is going to start working with him during her green team practices to get him back in shape.

Isabella

Isabella is a grey Thoroughbred mare. She is one of the horses that I was riding in lessons, but I haven't been able to ride her for a while. She was in-foal and had a beautiful baby named Disco Jazz ("DJ") on April 14, 2001. She was preggers in most of these pictures...that's why she looks so chubby!
