Welcome to “Not So Lonely Planet.” I am your host, Danielle Carter. I have been lucky enough to stumble upon some amazing experiences in my life, to the extremes of finding absolute relief and joy on a mountain top to experiencing the effects of nitrogen narcosis 80 feet below the surface of a freezing lake. All my adventures have been wonderful learning experiences and profound blessings. At this site you will get to experience some of the adventure highlights of my life and also see reviews of some of the places I have been. I hope you find this site useful in some way or another, from deciding to take up a hobby to simply finding a review of a location to help you plan your vacation. So thanks for stopping by, I had a blast making this from actually going on the adventures to sitting in my kitchen at two in the morning typing up reviews. August 27, 2002 - Little comments added to all the pictures plus my review of Big Bend National Park. August 26, 2002 - Diary of Mt. Elbert, Tallest Mountain in Colorado. Available in the hiking/mountain climbing section and definatly worth a look, I'm very proud of this one. Pictures for this amazing four day journey will be up soon, I'm still waiting for our team leader to send them to me.  Site GuideIn the scuba diving and snorkeling section you will find reviews of the lakes and rivers I have dived in with great pictures and individual ratings for each experience. There are also some interesting stories and descriptions of my various scuba adventures. In the hiking and mountain climbing section you will find reviews of various hiking parks along with the story of my climb of Mt. Elbert, the times when I thought I was going to die to the times when I was never more happy to be alive. The rafting and canoeing section contains my rafting adventure down the Arkansas River along with some canoe area ratings. *under construction* Miscellanious Adventures contains the first time I flew an airplane. Adventures at Home contains my favorite books, movies, and cds. The link section is just a collection of my favorite sites to visit on the web. Please note that not all the links will be in this section, there are also various links for specific things like scuba diving in the scuba diving section.
