1. ENTRY FEES,SIX POUND POT AND PRE-TOURNAMENT:

A. Initial fee must be paid before start of club tournament. After first month, ALL fees for the Six-Pound pot must be paid before the start of the next tournament. Anyone wishing to join the 6lb pot after the initial month must pay $3.00 per month from the beginning of the current pot (all back fees). However, if a contestant ows more than five months back fees, they may not enter the current Six-Pound pot. Once the contestant falls six months behind, they must wait until the current pot is broken before they may participate. (THE SIX-POUND POT IS NOT AN OFFICIAL CLUB FUNCTION). All Entry fees to be refunded will be left up to the Executive Board and/or Tournament Director.

B. Starting and ending times on all tournaments will be decided at the monthly club meeting. Tournaments will be held on the Sunday following the first Tuesday of the month.

C. All members must meet at the designated boat ramp and a shotgun start will be used to begin the tournament. Members wanting to trailer to a different location may do so when the tournament director begins the shotgun start. Late contestants must contact another club member and have their livewell checked before fishing. Late contestants will be eligible for the Big Bass and 6lb pot only if prior arrangements have been made with the tournament director and entry fees has been paid prior to the tournament.

D. The tournament director, and/or his designee, shall conduct a livewell check on each contestant boat. Late contestants must have their livewell checked by the tournament director or another paid contestant before they may begin fishing. (top)

 

2. SAFETY

A. All contestants must wear life jackets at all times when boat is on plane during tournament hours.

B. It is mandatory to be at the final weigh-in or verbally notify another member if you heave the lake, except in case of emergency. (top)

 

3. GUESTS

A. Immediate family (non-club members) can ride in the boat with the contestant but cannot fish. Immediate family is defined as: Husband, Wife, Father, Mother, Brother, Sister or Child.

B. A bass club member may bring a guest to any tournament during the course of the year. The guest will be eligible for prizes and big bass pot. The guest must join the club if he/she wants to fish a second time during the year. (top)

 

4. FISHING

A. All fish must be caught on artificial bait using a rod and reel only.

B. Trolling with the big motor will not be allowed.

C. When fishing slot lakes, a minimum of ten inches (10") will be applied. Lake rules will be in effect. (top)

   

5. WEIGH-IN AND POST-TOURNAMENT:

A. At tournament ending time, contestants must be back at designated boat ramp at prior to the designated time. Tournament Director will call '09 all weight for that tournament. Before official weigh-in time, the Tournament Director will measure fish at contestant's request to determine if it is of legal length. Once official weigh-in time has arrived, the Tournament Director will not measure fish to determine if it is of legal length. The contestant will be totally responsible for legal length.

B. All tournament weights will be kept individually. Team tournament weights will be totaled together with each member weighing in his own fish. State bag limits will apply.

C. All state and federal fishing laws will be in effect. Only Kentucky , small mouth, and/or largemouth bass will be weighed. State length limits will apply with the exception of a 10" on Kentucky spotted bass.

D. Each contestant must weigh in his own fish at the designated time. Any exceptions will be left to the discretion of the Tournament Director.

E. All fish must be brought to the weigh-in site in a bag of water so that they may stay as healthy as possible. Failure to do so will result in a penalty of 0.25 lbs deducted from the contestant's total weight.

F. There will be a penalty of 0.25 pounds assessed for each dead fish weighed in. The 0.25 pound penalty applies to determine total tournament weight, Big Bass pot, and 6lb pot winners.

G. All tournament fish will be released back into tournament lake with exception of dead or trophy fish. (top)
