Sweet Dreams Baby Dress{Lyn's Designs}
Size: 6 months.  
13" neck, 18" waist, 14" length (approx.)
Materials:
F Hook
Baby Sport Pompadour  3 Oz. White
Baby Sport Pompadour  6 Oz. Sweet Dreams
2 Buttons 

Ch 52, with White
Row 1:  (neckline)
 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in next 7 sts. 
3 hdc in next st, (corner 1)
1 hdc in next 8 sts,
3 hdc in next st (corner 2)
1 hdc in next 14 sts,
3 hdc in next st (corner 3)
1 hdc in next 8 sts,
3 hdc in next st (corner 4)
1 hdc in last 8 sts.

Rows 2-4 : ch 2, turn,   1 hdc in each st around, putting 3 hdc in
center st of each corner around.
 
Row 5:  (armholes)
ch 2,  turn,  1 hdc in each st to first corner, ch 12, skip stitches 
to next corner, hdc in center corner st and each st across to 3rd 
corner, ch 12, skip stitches to last corner, hdc in center corner 
st and remaining sts.
 
Row 6:  ch 2, turn,  1 hdc in each st around.  including the ch 12 
(armholes).
 
Row 7-8: ch 2, turn, 1 hdc in each st around.

Row 9:  sl st to join to other side, ch 2,  1 hdc in each st around. 
sl st to join.

Rows 10-11:   ch 2, 1 hdc in each st around. sl st to join.

Row 12:  attach sweet dreams yarn, ch 3,  2 dc in same sp,  sk 1
* V-st in next st, sk 1, 5 dc in next st (shell made), repeat from 
* around. end with 2 dc in same sp as begining ch.
 
** Repeat row 12 for 15 more rows .
 
Row 16: ch 2, 1 hdc in each st around, putting 3 hdc in center of 
each shell around. sl st to join.  fasten off.



Ruffle on Bodice:
Attach Sweet Dreams yarn on row 3, at back opening, working 
all the way around over shoulder, across front to opposite back 
side, make ruffle.......

In any front loop of this row...
Row 1: * ch 3,  sk 1 st, sc in next st, ...repeat from * around.
Row 2: ch 3 turn. sc in center of of next loop, * ch 3, sc in 
center of next loop...around.  end off.

**  Repeat ruffle again on row 5.
 
Sleeves:
with sweet dreams yarn, attach in any st under arm, ch 3,
Row 1: 2 dc in same sp, * sk 2 sts, V-st in Next st, sk 2, 5 dc in 
next st (shell made)   repeat from * around. sl st to join.
Rows 2-3 :  ch 2, 2 dc in same sp, * V-st in center of next V-st, 5 
dc in center of next shell, repeat from * around. sl st to join.
Row 4:  ch 1, sc in each st around. putting 2 sc in center of each 
shell.  sl st to join.  End off.  Weave in ends.
 
Back opening.
Attach white, at bottom of opening, working up one side sc 
evenly to top, sc evenly around neckline and to other side, at 
top of this side, ch 4 and sl st back into same st, (button loop 
made). sc evenly down 4-5 sts, and make another button 
loop...then sc to bottom and sl st into begining ch. end off.
 
Sew on coordinating buttons.
