Irish Cap{Lyn's Designs}Materials:
2 oz. Green 4 ply yarn
small amount white 4 ply yarn
G crochet hook 

With green  ch 4, sl st to form a ring.
 
Rnd 1: ch 3, 14 dc into the ring. join.
Rnd 2: ch 3, 2 dc in ea st around.  join.
Rnd 3: ch 3, 1 dc in same sp, * 1 dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st,  repeat 
from * around. join.
Rnd 4: ch 3, 1 dc in same sp, * 1 dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st,  repeat 
from * around. join.
Rnd 5: ch 3, 1 dc in same sp, * 1 dc in next 6 sts, 2 dc in next st,  repeat 
from * around. join.
Rnds 6-10: ch 3, 1 dc in each st around.  end off.
Rnd 11:   attach white yarn, ch 3, 1 dc in next st, * ch 1, sk 1, 1 dc in 
next 2 sts, repeat from * around. join.
Rnds 12-13:  ch 3, 1 dc in next dc, ch 1, sk 1, 1 dc in next 2 dc, repeat 
from * around. join. end off.
Rnd 14: attach green. ch 3, * 1 dc in ea st(including chs) around. join.
Rnd 15: ch 3, * 1 dc in next 3 st, 2 dc in next st,  repeat around. join.   
end off.  roll up brim.    weave in ends.

TO MAKE SHAMROCK:
ch 4, sl st to form a ring
ch 4, 3 tr into ring, ch 4, sl st into ring,
ch 4, 3 tr into ring, ch 4, st st into ring, 
ch 4, 3 tr into ring, ch 4, sl st into ring. join.  end off.
You will have a 3 leaf clover; sew onto hat.
