AngelCrafts - Granny Cloche

Granny Cloche{Lyn's Designs}{fits a 22" head}
Materials:
3 oz, 4 ply yarn,  (Colors used for this one: teal, gemstone, black)
G crochet hook 

Start with a typical granny square, up to rnd 4.
I used Gemstone on rnd 1, black on rnd 2, teal on rnd 3, and black
on rnd 4.
 
BODY OF THE HAT: 
Rnd 5:  attach black yarn in any corner sp.    ch 3, 2 dc in same sp,
* ch 1,  3 dc in next ch sp, ch 1, 3 dc-ch2- 3 dc in next sp, ch 1, 
3 dc in next sp, ...repeat from * around. join.
 
Rnds 6-8:  ch 3, 2 dc in same sp. * ch 1, 3 dc in each sp ...repeat 
from * around.  join.

Rnd 9:  ch 2, 1 hdc in each st around. skipping the ch 1's.  join.

Rnd 10:  ch 2, 1 hdc in next 4 sts, dec over next 2 sts, * 1 hdc in 
next 5 sts, dec over next 2 sts, ...repeat from * around.  join.

Rnds 11-13:  ch 2, 1 hdc in each st around. join.  end off on last 
rnd.   weave in ends.
