Easter Bonnet{Lyn's Designs}
{Fits 0-3 Months}
Materials:
2 oz. Baby Pompadour baby yarn in white
small amount of multi color pompadour baby yarn
1/2" wide ribbon (matching  multi yarn)
3 rosette bows
F crochet hook
 
for the Back;
 
Rnd 1:  ch 3, put 17 dc into the 2nd ch from hook. sl st to join.
 
Rnd 2:  ch 3, * 1 fp dc in next, ch 1, 1 dc in next, ch 1, sl st to 
2nd ch of beg ch3 to join.
 
Rnd 3:  ch 3, * 1 fp dc in next fp st, ch 1, 1 dc in sp before next 
dc, ch 1, 1 dc in sp before next fp st, ch 1, 1fp dc in next fp st, 
join.

Rnd 4:  ch 3, * 1 dc in next sp, ch 1, 1 fp dc in next fp st, ch 1, 
1 dc in next 3 sps, 1 fp dc in next fp st, ...repeat from * around.
join.
 
Rnd 5:  ch 3, * 1 dc in next sp, ch 1, 1 dc in next sp, ch 1, 1 fp dc 
in next st, ch 1, 1 dc in next sp, ch 1, 1 dc in next sp, ch 1, 1 dc 
in next sp, ch 1, 1 dc in next sp, ch 1, 1 fp dc in next fp st, 
...repeat from * around.  join.

Rnd 6: in back loops...ch 3, sk 1, * 1 hdc in next st, sk 1, ...repeat 
from * around. (43 hdc).
 
Rnd 7:  ch 3, 1 dc in next st, sk 2, * 1 bp dc in next st, sk 2, 5 dc 
in next st (shell), sk 2, 
1 bp dc in next sk 2, ...repeat from * around  for 7 shells , end with 
sk 2, 1 bp dc, 1 dc in next st.    (Leave the rest unworked).
 
Rnd 8:  turn. ch 3, * 1 fp dc in next dc, 1 shell in center of next 
shell, 1 fp dc in next dc, ...repeat from * around. end with 1 dc last
st.
  
Rnd 9:  turn, ch 3, * bp dc in next st, 1 shell in next shell, 1 bp dc 
in next st, ..repeat from * around. end with 1 dc in last st.
 
Rnd 10:  repeat rnd 8.  (fp)
 
Rnd 11:  repeat rnd 9.  (bp)

Rnd 12:  repeat Rnd 8. (fp)

EDGING & TIES: 
Rnd 13:  ch 1, 1 sc around entire edge. work along 
bottom, around to front, on corner ch 45, sl st back
along ch to front corner (tie made) then sc across 
the front to other corner, ch 45, sl st back along 
ch to corner, sl st to join.  end off.

FOR BACK RUFFLE:
With bonnet front facing you....attach yarn at row 6, at back edge on 
right, using free loops.
ch 2, sk 1, * 5 dc in next st (shell), ch 1, 1 dc in next st, 
...repeat from * around. end with 1 sc in last st.   end off.  (21 
shells).

FOR FRONT RUFFLE:
Attach yarn on row 12, right side, in 1st post st.
ch 1, 1 sc in same sp, * 7 dc in next shell in the center st, you'll 
have to work the hook in a little to find a loop to use, 1 dc in next 
post st, ...repeat * around. end with 1 sc in last st.  end off.
 
FINISHING:
Attach multi color on back ruffle, right side, ch 1, 1 sc in ea st 
across. putting 2 sc in center of ea shell ,end off.

Attach multi at front ruffle, right side, ch 1, 1 sc in ea st across. 
Putting 2 sc in center of ea shell,   end off.
 
THEN ON BOTH RUFFLES:
Weave in ribbon in back of shells, and in front of post sts, stitch 
down on each end with matching thread.
Using same ribbon, make 3 small/med. bows. sew rosette to center of 
each bow.
Sew 1 bow on top of bonnet, at back ruffle in center.
Then sew 1 bow on each side of the front ruffle.
