Cat Nip Pillow Toy{Lyn's Designs}Materials:
G hook
WW 4 ply ( your choice of colors) small amount
nylon stocking (such as knee-hi's)
Cat Nip loose leaf
Pillow: Rectangular ( make 2 sides)
Ch 12, hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each across. ch 3, turn.
repeat for a total of 6 rows.
cut a small portion of nylon stocking. place approx. 1 tbsp. of cat nip
inside and tie in knot on ends. trim neatly.
Pillow Edging;
holding 2 pieces together, attach yarn in a corner , ch 1, 2 sc in same
space, * 1 sc in each to next corner, put 3 sc in corner, repeat from *
to last side. leave last side open to put the catnip in., once its inside
neatly, then continue sc around that side. join to first ch 1 with sl st.
Ruffle: (optional)
ch 3, sc in next st, ch 3, sc in next, continue around. join to first ch.
fasten off.
weave in loose ends.
My Cats love these little pillows, and will carry them thru the house,
lay on them, toss them in the air. Its absolutely hilarious at times.
This is an excellent way to use up scrap yarns.
