Cat Nip Heart Pillow Toy{Lyn's Designs}
Materials:
G hook
4 ply yarn

Row 1: ch 8, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across, turn (7).
Row 2-5: ch 2, 1 hdc in ea st across, turn
Row 6:  ch 1, sc in same sp, sk 2 sts, 9 trc (shell) in next st, sk 2 sts, 
sl st in corner, working along next side, sk 2, 9 trc (shell) in next st, sk 
2 sts, sc in last corner. end off.   weave in ends.
 
Using a contrast color; 
attach yarn in any st, ch 1, sc around entire piece,  be sure to place 
catnip pouch inside before the final side is stitched.  sl st to join.

for Ruffle:   * ch 3, sc in next st, ch 3, _ repeat * around. end off.
 
Catnip pouch:   I use old nylon hosem, cut in a 3" length, I put a small 
amount of cat nip inside. tie ends..this forms the catnip pouch.
 
My Cats go nuts over these little pillows.
