Butterfly Sweater Set{Lyn's Designs}

Materials:
F Crochet Hook
6 oz. Baby Sport Yarn {I used Yellow}
3 medium butterfly buttons
1 small butterfly button

BUTTERFLY SWEATER
Row 1 :   {Neckline}
ch 41, hdc in 3rd ch from hook,  1 hdc in next 5 sts, 3 hdc in next st, {1st 
corner made},
1 hdc in next 6 sts,  3 hdc in next st { 2nd corner made},
1 hdc in next 12 sts,  3 hdc in next st {3rd corner made},
1 hdc in next 6 sts, 3 hdc in next st {4th corner made},
1 hdc in last 6 sts. 
 
Row 2:  ch 2, turn.   1 hdc in ea st across. putting 3 hdc in center st of 
each  corner.
 
Row 3-7: repeat row 2.
Row 8:  {for armholes}  ch 2, turn. 1 hdc in each st to 1st corner.  ch 8, 
sk sts in between to the 2nd corner, hdc in center of corner 2, and across 
to 3rd corner, ch 8, sk sts in between to 4th corner. hdc in center of 4th 
corner and to the end.
Row 9:  ch 2, turn.  1 hdc in each st across including the ch 8's under the 
arms.
Row 10: ch 2, turn. 1 hdc in each st across.
Row 11:  {pattern rows}  ch 3, turn.  * sk 2 sts, 3 dc in next st, ch 1, sk 
2 sts, 3 dc in next st,  repeat * around. ending with sk 2 & 1 dc in last st.
Row 12:  ch 4, turn. * sc into next ch 1 sp, ch 3, sc into next ch 1 sp,  
repeat * around. ending with sc in last st.
Row 13: ch 3, turn. *  put 3 dc into each ch 1 sp , ch 1, ..repeat from * 
around.
Row 14:  repeat row 12
Row 15:  repeat row 11
Row 16:  repeat row 12
Row 17:  repeat row 11
Row 18:  repeat row 12
Row 19:  repeat row 11
Row 20:  repeat row 12
Row 21:  repeat row 11
Row 22:  repeat row 12
Row 23:  repeat row 11
Row 24: repeat row 12
Row 25:  ch 1, turn.  1 hdc in same sp, * 1 sc in each ch and in each st 
across. 
(now working up the front) - 1 hdc in each st & row up the side, putting 3 
hdc in corners. work around the neckline to other side, make a button loop 
(ch 2,sk 2,  hdc in next st) working down the side evenly space for next 
button loop, and then again for 3rd button loop. continue down side to 
corner and sl st to join.
 
~Sleeves~
attach yarn under arm at front corner. 

~Cluster Row~
Rnd 1:  ch 3, 2 dc in same sp (1st  cluster made) , * ch 1,   sk 2 sts,  
3 dc in next st (cluster made) ,  repeat  from * around. join.
 
~Chain Loop Row~
Rnd 2: ch 3, * sc into next ch 1 sp[between clusters] ( loop made), 
ch 3, _ repeat from * around. join.
you want a loop over each cluster of the previous row.

~Cluster Row~
Rnd 3: sl st into the 1st loop,ch 3, , then 2 dc into same loop (1st cluster made),
ch 1  , __* 3 dc into next loop sp , ch 1, ...repeat * around, join. (you want a cluster 
in each loop around).
 
~Chain Loop Row~
Rnd 4: ch 3, * sc in ch 1 sp, ch 3 _ repeat from * around. join.
 
5-7:  repeat pattern row 3 & 4.     alternating rows.

Rnd 8: ch 2, 1 hdc in each st around. join.   end off.   roll up cuffs.

sew on Butterfly Buttons.
 
BUTTERFLY CAP
ch 4, sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1:  ch 3, 12 dc into ring. join.
Rnd 2: ch 3, 2 dc in each st around, join.
Rnd 3: ch 3,  * 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next st, _ repeat from * around. 
join.

~for PATTERN~
Rnd 4:  ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, * sk 2 sts, ch 1, 3 dc in next st, _ repeat 
from * around. join.
Rnd 5:  ch 3, * sc in next ch 1 sp, ch 3, _ repeat from * around. join.
Rnd 6:  repeat rnd 4
Rnd 7:  repeat rnd 5
Rnd 8:  repeat rnd 4
Rnd 9:  repeat rnd 5
Rnd 10: repeat rnd 4
Rnd 11: repeat rnd 5
Rnd 12: repeat rnd 4
Rnds 13-14:  ch 3, 1 dc in each st around. join.
Rnd 15: ch 2, 1 hdc in each str around. join.    end off.   fold up brim 
...sew on small butterfly button to center of brim.
