Our Trip to Carson National Forest New Mexico
summer of '99
In May of 1999 Samye, Clint, Katie, and I all graduated from high school together and thought it would be cool to go on a trip together (wesley also came with us, he graduated the year before). We didn't have enough time to go to Colorado but we did head off to northern New Mexico in the Carson National Forest. It was a pretty cool place. We had a good time in New Mexico. We stayed at La Lagunitas Lakes campground. We had left Texas a little late that morning and didn't get to the campground until midnight because we had no idea we had to drive on 30 or so miles of dirt roads to get to the campgrounds. Needless to say we didn't spend much time setting up camp that night. After the tent was pitched we hit the sack. The mountains were very awsome but the fishing left a little to be desired. Overall the trip was a good one. Here are a few pics of our adventures in New Mexico.
