A MESSAGE FROM YOUR LEADERS
It is our goal that this site will help keep you and your family informed and updated regarding Troop meetings, activities, and deadlines. This should also help eliminate the phone volume for leaders.

Please refer to this site for all questions and concerns. Our e-mail address is located at the bottom of this page. You will receive e-mail replys in a timely manner.

Also, please send us any comments regarding our site. We want this to be a tool to make your Girl Scout experience more enjoyable. As always, we are open to any suggestions.

RECENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS/CALLS/COMPLAINTS

Has Girl Scout Troop 1814 split? Yes, to one Brownie Troop and one Junior Troop.

Why? To better serve the girls.

Who are the leaders? Brownies - Jan and Tasha Juniors - Kim and Rachel

Who is keeping the number of 1814? The Juniors

Why are the Juniors keeping the number 1814? Ms. Rachel started out with that number and that is what she will continue with.

What will be the Brownie's new number? We will let you know as soon as we know.

Why weren't we given a choice? We, as leaders, felt this was the best choice for the girls.

If we complain will our daughter be treated differntly? Ms. Rachel is tired of hearing these comments. All leaders are fair and treat all the girls equally. We volunteer our time to make a difference in their lives, not to hurt them.

My daughter wanted to stay with her friend? They can still be friends and see each other. They are still "Sisters" in Girl Scouts.

What happens if we aren't happy with this decision? Talk to your leader to make it work, start a troop of you own, or register your child as an individual.

What if we still aren't happy? Then call the Service Unit (who is for the spilt) or contact Council. A leader can provide you with the numbers.

THIS SECTION HAS BEEN WRITTEN BY MS. RACHEL. I AM TIRED OF ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS AND THE YEAR HASN'T EVEN STARTED. THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE FUN FOR YOUR DAUGHTER, FAMILY, AND THE LEADERS. PLEASE TRY TO MAKE THIS WORK. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY ONCE THE YEAR STARTS THEN I WILL DISCUSS THIS WITH YOU THEN. I DON'T SEE HOW PEOPLE CAN BE SO UNHAPPY WHEN THEY HAVEN'T EVEN GIVEN SOMETHING A CHANCE. DO NOT CALL ME ABOUT THIS. I WILL HANG UP! I AM TIRED AND THE SEASON HAS NOT EVEN STARTED. LET'S TRY TO MAKE THIS A GOOD YEAR FOR YOU, YOUR DAUGHTER, AND THE LEADERS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME CONCERNING THIS MATTER.

UPCOMING DEADLINES
LOST AND FOUND
There are still numerous unclaimed items at Ms. Rachel's house from this past year. They have been in the treasure chest on her front porch since the first week in June. They are now, once again, located in her house. They will soon find their new home at Goodwill. Please contact her ASAP if you have items that have been misplaced. Thank you.
UNCLAIMED PATCHES
Many of you have unclaimed patches and awards from the June 1 Banquet. These items are also located at Ms. Rachel's house. Everyone has been given a courtesy call to pick up their patches. All patches not claimed by July 12 will be returned to the Tejas Shop for a credit to the Troop's account. NO, we will not purchase these items again at our expense for your child. We will pick them up again at the parent's expense with payment prior to delivery.

HAND ME DOWNS!

If your daughter has uniform items that she will not use next year, please donate them to the troop. They will be shared with girls who are unable to purchase paints, shirts, etc.
