  Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology,Madras,India and  Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University,with specialization in Boilers.

 Experience:
1970-1982: Held various positions such as engineer,senior engineer at BHEL,Trichy involved in design of utility,industrial and waste heat boilers,steam generators; also was a project corordinator for a coal based combined cycle research project.

1982-1984:Engineer at Struthers Thermo-Flood unit,Winfield,Kansas,engineering once through steam flood units for oil recovery applications.

1984-present:Heat Transfer Specialist at ABCO Industries, engineering packaged water tube boilers and waste heat boilers for a wide variety of applications such as incineration systems,gas turbine exhaust,sulfuric acid plants,fluidised bed cat-cracker,hydrogen plant and numerous other applications.Developed software for thermal/process design of fire tube and unfired/fired water tube boilers.Interacted with field engineers to evaluate performance/modifications to steam generators

Other
Authored over 200 papers (during the past 25 years) on boiler design related topics,which have been published in Chemical Engineering,Power,Power Engineering,Hydrocarbon processing,Plant Engineering,Petroleum Engineering(UK),Chemical Engineering Progress.Also presented numerous papers at ASME/Energy Technology conferences.
Authored four text books on boilers,published by Pennwelll Books,Marcel Dekker and Fairmont press:Applied Heat Transfer,Steam Plant Calculations Manual,Waste Heat Boiler Deskbook and Programs for Steam Plant Engineers.
Contributed several chapters to the Encyclopedia of Chemical processing and Design and The Handbook of Engineering Calculations(McGraw-Hill)
