Leisa's home page

These pages tell of the struggle I have been through in telling
everyone who I really am. I came out in October of 1999.
These pages are filled with my writings and some writings of others.
Some of the poems are depressing,
but then that is what I felt before I came out.
I hope that in these pages others will find the courage
and strength to be themselves no matter what.

Before it's too late

I heard of a man,
Who loved everyone.
He saw no color, no handicapp.
He talked of a place where beauty abounds
Heaven he called it.
He spoke to us of love and compassion.
With wisdom he taught love conquers all.
His message got lost somewhere I see.
For all I hear is hate and contempt.
We need to find that message again before it's too late.
When you look at someone what do you see?
Don't look to see, are they black or white, straight or gay, catholic or jew, rich or poor.
Look at the beauty of each soul.
I wish that we didn't have to wait for the days of Heaven.
We can start here and now to make Heaven on earth.
Love one another for who they are, not what they are before it's too late.
