World Population To Be Reduced by 80%
UN Global Biodiversity Assessment (GBA)
States that the human population has exceeded earth's biosphere capacity and set the parameters for recovery; "[It is] estimated that an 'agricultural world' in which most human beings are peasants should be able to support 5 to 7 billion people....In contrast, a reasonable estimate for an industrialised world society at the present north American material standard of living would be 1 billion." (1) (note: there are presently 6 billion people on earth.)
There is no discussion in the GBA of how 2/3 of the earth's human population might be eliminated, but it does give some clues. Agricultural practices are sharply condemned, "Overwhelming evidence leads to the conclusion that modern commercial agriculture has had a direct negative impact on biodiversity at all levels.... Agriculture may be one of the most important causes of pollution, by the production of sediments, by the generation of chemical wastes, or by the use of pesticides."(2) Never mind that US agricultural practices have reduced these impacts to all time lows.
The use of fertilizers would be sharply reduced if the GBA recommendations were implemented, in spite of the realization "that fertilisers have played an essential part in producing the world's harvests is undisputed. [It] is estimated that if the use of fertilisers ceased, the world's harvests would be cut almost in half. "(3) Although the GBA does not say it, cutting the world's food production in half would certainly produce massive starvation and pestilence and cut human population by at least half.

To reduce the population to 250-350 million, over 4 billion people must be eliminated.
Green leaders aren’t bashful about how many citizens must be eliminated to reach their goals. In the beginning, many people did not realize Adolf Hitler meant extermination when he advocated eliminating the Jewish people to save the Fatherland. The Nazi movement is a blaring example of why, ignoring the rise of a political movement that advocates eliminating millions of people to save Mother Earth, is a BIG mistake.
The politics of the Green movement mirror Communism. Communists planned to be the leaders and organizers of the environmental movement and to use that cause to convince Americans to accept socialism, then Communism. There is a war being waged against unsuspecting Americans on one citizen, one group at a time. If we accept the need for more government control of other peoples lives, under the guise of environmental protection, we begin to sacrifice our own freedom. World Population Set to Peak at 9 Billion -Experts

LONDON (Reuters) - The world's population will probably peak at about 9 billion around 2070 before it starts to decline, scientists predicted Wednesday.
Demographers at a think tank in Austria calculate that by the turn of the century the number of people on the planet will have dropped down to 8.4 billion people.
They also predict the population will be older, with up to 40 percent aged over 60 by 2100.
``We see the end of world population growth on the horizon. But the level of population size and the speed of increase will depend on policy and development in the different regions,'' Wolfgang Lutz said in a telephone interview.
But Lutz, a demographer at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Laxenburg, said the predictions reported in the science journal Nature should not mean the end of population concerns because populations will still be increasing in some of the world's poorest areas.
``Some of the most vulnerable regions, such as sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia, will still see very significant population growth,'' he added.
Although it is impossible to predict what will happen in future centuries, Lutz and his colleagues believe the 9 billion figure could be an all-time high for world population.
``Population aging will be the dominant population issue of this century because the decline in fertility together with further increasing life expectancy in most parts of the world except Africa will result in a significant change in the age structure,'' said Lutz.
NUMBER OF ELDERLY TO RISE
In most European countries people over 60 make up 20 percent of the population. Lutz and his team predict that by the middle of the century the figure will rise to 35 percent and reach 45 percent by 2100.
They believe China's percentage of elderly will triple from 10 percent today to 30 percent by 2050. In Japan the elderly will comprise half the population by the turn of the century.
The scientists said life expectancy would continue to rise, except in part of Africa where the HIV (news - web sites)/AIDS (news - web sites) epidemic has taken a very heavy toll.
According to the scientists a fertility rate of 2.1 children is needed to replace one generation with another. Many countries already have rates below that figure.
The greater number of elderly will increase pressure on social security services and demand for care of the elderly and may necessitate changes in working habits, according to Lutz.
But he added that declining numbers after the peak would be good news for sustainable development because fewer people would cause less damage to the environment.
Lutz and his colleagues based their predictions on many different simulations of future world populations and data from a recent U.S. National Academy of Science report.

WASHINGTON -- Call this Y6B: The year of 6 billion, a milestone the world's population is expected to reach this weekend.
The birth of the planet's 6 billionth inhabitant, projected by the U.S. Census Bureau, also will mark another historic first: The world's population has doubled in less than 40 years.
Despite a gradual slowing of the overall rate of growth, the world population is still increasing by 78 million people a year. That's the equivalent of adding a city nearly the size of San Francisco every three days, or the combined populations of France, Greece and Sweden every year, according to a coalition of environmental and population groups.
"It took all of human history for the world's population to reach 1 billion in 1804, but little more than 150 years to reach 3 billion in 1960. Now, not quite 40 years later, we are twice that number," said Amy Coen, president of Population Action International.
Even with a decelerating growth rate, the number of humans on the planet could double again to 12 billion by 2050 if the current growth rate continues, the coalition projects.
The impact will be sweeping, the coalition of population groups predict. "Every 20 minutes the world adds another 3,500 human lives but loses one or more entire species of animal or plant life -- at least 27,000 species per year," it warns.
In addition, at least 300 million people already live in regions with severe water shortages. By 2025, the number is expected to be 3 billion if growth rates continue.
The population is expanding despite a "reproductive revolution" that has prompted half of the world's married women to use family planning techniques, compared with an estimated 10% only 30 years ago, according to the International Planned Parenthood Federation in London. In 61 of the world's 191 countries, women's fertility rates have now dropped below the replacement level of 2.1 children per woman.
In the United States, the world's third-largest country in population size after China and India, 71% of women use some form of family planning. The U.S. fertility rate, or average number of births per woman, has dropped to 1.96.
Yet the United States has the highest fertility rate among wealthy industrialized countries. And because of the "momentum" of population growth -- it takes about 70 years for the population to stabilize after a nation reaches a replacement-level fertility rate of 2.1 births per woman -- the United States is expected to double its population of 270 million in 60 years if the current growth rate continues, according to Peter Kostmayer, national spokesman for Zero Population Growth and a former U.S. House member from Pennsylvania.

The Interim calls this New Age, “the culture of death”! Ted Turner, Bill Gates (Microsoft computer wizz) Fritjof Capra, Willis Harman, Deepak Chopra, Robert Muller (UN, father of World Core Curriculum), Matthew Fox (I spoke to Fox when he came to Sydney), Carl Sagan, Shirley MacLaine - big names in the New Age, were there. Buddhists, Wiccans, dissident Catholic theologians, spiritualists “permeated” the conference. Rupert Murdoch, and many powerful media people were in attendance. Many other mega rich, famous, ruthless and mighty men and women had gathered at that conference.

George Shultz candidly revealed the purpose of the conference, with the main item being, “we shall have to address the problem of controlling the world’s population.” The Interim stated that, “these types had mainly Christianity to blame for the so-called world population dilemma.” CHRISTIANITY BLAMED!

Sam Keen, philosopher author, provided the summary and concluding remarks. The Forum will reconvene in San Francisco from October 2-6, 1996. No doubt they will really get in to action at this Forum! Rigoberta Menchu was here in Brisbane at the Ipra conference - he is a strong advocate of population reduction, he was also at the State of the World Forum. Norman Myers was here at the Town Hall in Brisbane in September - he is a strong advocate of population reduction. It is happening on our own shores, not just “somewhere overseas”. Now read the remarks of Sam Keen. Among the conference participants he said:
“There was very strong agreement that RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS have to take primary responsibility for the population explosion. We must speak far more clearly about sexuality, about contraception, about abortion, about the values that control the population, because the ecological crisis, in short, is the population crisis. CUT THE POPULATION BY 90 PERCENT and there aren’t enough people left to do a great deal of ecological damage.” (Emphasis added).
In other words, what is being said by those who have control over the planet is,
“The religious institutions (predominately Christians) have caused the world to be over-populated, they are to blame. The world will perish because of the earth’s ecology problems, therefore we will have to be brave and abort more babies, make sure people can’t reproduce at will, and we will have to kill off billions - and only leave 10 percent of the earth’s population left!”
The figure always rises about how many will have to go! This is the largest estimate I have ever seen so far. And there are those who say we are not close to the Tribulation and the Rapture - of course we are.

Population Growth Slowing Down

WASHINGTON (AP) - Natural population growth has essentially stopped in industrialized countries and shifted almost entirely to the less developed countries of Africa, Asia, and Latin America, according to a study released Monday.
The finding was included in the annual report on global population trends by the Washington-based Population Reference Bureau.
``Currently, of the 83 million people added to global population each year by the difference between births and deaths, only 1 million are in the industrialized countries,'' said demographers Carl Haub and Diana Cornelius, who prepared the PRB's ''2001 World Population Data Sheet.''
They said the result will be ``a very different world in terms of population.''
The data sheet said that in 1950, there were twice as many people in the less developed countries but that by 2050, that difference could be almost six to one.
``The developing world's population is projected to increase by 2.9 billion by 2050, compared with only 49 million in the more developed countries,'' the authors said.
``Population growth this century will depend on how quickly, or how slowly, birth rates decline in the areas of the world where we have seen either no decline or moderate decline.''
Other highlights of the data sheet:
- Women in less developed countries (excluding China) average 3.6 children, compared with only 1.6 in the more developed countries. Annually, about 123 million babies are born to mothers in less developed countries, while there are about 13 million births in the more developed countries. That increase is virtually offset by the 12 million deaths in these countries each year.
-In Europe, fewer babies are born each year than there are deaths, leading to ``natural decrease,'' or population decline, except where it is offset by immigration. This situation is due both to the low birth rate and to higher proportions of older people in the population.
- The United States is now the only industrialized country in the world with a fertility rate at or above the ``replacement level'' of 2.1 children per woman.
- One of the major population developments in recent years has been the spread of HIV (news - web sites)/AIDS (news - web sites), particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. As a result, the populations of several African countries--Botswana, South Africa, and Zimbabwe--are expected to decline over the next 50 years, a sharp reversal from past projections.
Among adults in Botswana's 1.6 million population, 36 percent are infected with the virus.
Doctors losing war on AIDS

Since November, Dr. Roxanne Cox-Iyamu has seen a noticeable rise in the number of deaths among her patients at the downtown Whitman-Walker AIDS clinic.
"We used to be able to go months without seeing someone die. Now it is every few weeks," she said with a sigh. "I saw a women yesterday with four opportunistic infections. One -- mycobacterium avium -- it was the first time I´ve seen it in three or four years."
Dr. Cox-Iyamu, an infectious-disease specialist and director of the Whitman-Walker Clinic, oversees treatment of some 2,000 HIV and AIDS patients. She said her patient was experiencing total body wasting, night sweats, diarrhea and fatigue.
The patient had been on a regimen of life-saving drugs, but they were no longer effective.
Dr. Cox-Iyamu, visibly saddened, said at this stage there were few options available to help the woman and dozens of other patients for whom life-prolonging drug cocktails have failed.
The drug cocktails have produced remarkable recoveries in many AIDS patients, but they are beginning to fail in an alarming number of cases.
And that, experts say, limits the medical options for Africa and the rest of the developing world, which are being overwhelmed by the disease.
While activists, health care workers and governments recently shamed 39 pharmaceutical companies into an agreement to provide cheap drugs to treat the 25 million people in Africa with HIV/AIDS, access to drugs is not the end of the problem.
"The drugs are needed, and they will do a lot of good," said Dr. Ronald Gray, an epidemiologist at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health with 10 years´ experience in Uganda. "But, if this is not done properly, we are sitting on a powder keg . . .
"There is no infrastructure to deliver the care, and the nature of this complicated drug regime means that we will see treatment failure and drug resistance. Drug resistance could wipe out the utility of these drugs in just a few years."
He said if drug resistance follows the historical course of tuberculosis and malaria, AIDS in Africa could become resistant to available drugs in one year, followed by massive resistance within five years.
"I´m not by nature pessimistic -- but I am a realist, and I am concerned," he said.
At an international AIDS conference in Vancouver in 1996, scientists introduced new "drug cocktails" of protease inhibitors and anti-retroviral drugs that prevent the AIDS virus from reproducing.
After a short time on the therapy, immune systems of even the sickest AIDS patients rebounded and the virus dropped to undetectable levels in the blood.
Misplaced optimism
Optimism ran wild. Serious scientists talked of either finding a cure for the deadly disease, or long-term management of the illness as with diabetes.
Thousands of AIDS patients, literally on their death beds, like Lazarus, got up and walked, returning to relative health and a normal life.
The complicated drug therapy requires as many as 30 pills a day, each taken at different times -- some to be swallowed with food, some without, some with water, some without. And, within six months of the introduction of the drugs in the United States, the mortality rates for AIDS plummeted -- from 40,000 a year in 1996 to just 16,000 in 1999.
But five years later, at the Seventh Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections in Chicago in January, the optimism had diminished.
The highly toxic drugs were failing in as much as 50 percent of the infected population. In addition, even where the medication continued to work, it was causing severe side effects, including high cholesterol, liver damage, kidney stones, diabetes and osteoporosis.
One of the most appalling side effects, called lipodistrophy, or body fat redistribution, creates grotesque buffalo humps, distended bellies, sunken cheeks and bone-thin arms and legs.
The AIDS virus was also adapting, mutating into drug-resistant strains immune to some or all the drugs available.
AIDS researchers at the Infectious Disease Division of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill found that up to 28 percent of new HIV infections exhibit some level of drug resistance. A British study released in early May came to a similar conclusion, finding that 25 percent to 27 percent of new AIDS infections were drug resistant.
Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases dismissed those figures, saying that resistant disease is showing up in about 15 percent of new cases -- still an alarmingly high number.
Hope fades
"The mood in Chicago was reserved resignation. We realized it is going to be a long hard slog," said Dr. William Powderly of Washington University in St. Louis, who investigates side effects of AIDS drugs.
"Three or four years ago, we thought we had turned the corner -- that was wrong. . . . We are starting to see major AIDS infections in our hospital, and we don´t have much in the way of (treatment) options."
Today, many AIDS patients, fed up with the toxic side effects and the grueling pill-taking regime, have stopped taking the drugs altogether.
"I know more people not taking the drugs now than taking them," said Michael Petrelis, a co-founder of the AIDS activist organization ACT UP, by telephone from San Francisco. "I´m not taking them anymore. I only take medicine now to fight specific, opportunistic infections. . . . We are scared, really scared."
A. Cornelius Baker, executive director of the Whitman-Walker Clinic, tried to put the best face on the current trend.
"It is a melancholy, bittersweet time. Part of our job is to give people hope, to help them grab onto life, but all of the horror around the epidemic is not behind us," he said.
With some 22 million people dead and 36 million in the world infected, the drug therapies that held such promise five years ago, have clearly lost much of their sheen.
Drug resistance grows
"We can stop the virus from being produced in at least half the people being treated. In half, it isn´t successful, and those people will develop resistant virus," said Dr. Powderly of Washington University.
Dr. Fauci said in an interview that the therapy administered to "naive" patients -- that is individuals who have never been on any of the drug cocktails -- initially work as often as 85 percent of the time if the patient adheres to the treatment and is monitored.
Over time the efficacy rate may taper off to about 60 percent, he said.
The drug cocktails do not work as well in patients who have weakened immune systems and a built-up resistance after years of inadequate drug therapy.
In effect, that creates two populations of HIV carriers -- the newly infected, who have a number of medical avenues, and the currently infected, who have far fewer options.
Dr. Fauci, while seeing the glass half-full, nevertheless called the downside of the drug regimes "sobering."
"This is a deadly disease, and these are not perfect drugs. But the people who are saying things are all bad should have been with me 20 years ago when everybody who walked in the door died," he said. "I´d rather have a situation where some people have difficulties with the drugs but a substantial portion of the people are doing well and living healthy lives rather than everyone who comes in the door dies."
Within days of a single human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) entering the body, most commonly through sexual relations or by using shared needles to inject drugs, the virus hides, building multiple reservoirs throughout the body.
At the same time, the virus attaches to and enters healthy cells to begin reproducing.
The anti-retroviral drugs block the creation of certain proteins required for the virus to reproduce, and thereby slow the advance of the disease. In the early days, physicians directed patients to hit the infection hard with a barrage of drugs and hit it early, before the immune system showed outward signs of weakness.
Today, the official guidelines on therapy are considerably more cautious and conservative. Patients do not begin the drug therapy until the viral count has mushroomed and the immune cell count has dropped. And it is often a regime of a period of time on the drugs, followed by a respite or interruption, off the drugs.
Within three weeks of stopping the drugs, HIV emerges from its hidden reservoirs to begin attacking the body again. When HIV begins to overpower the immune system, the patient develops AIDS.
"It is a war, and the immune system wins most of the battles, but eventually HIV wins the war," said Dr. Mark Dybul, at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. Dr. Dybul is running "interrupted" therapy clinical trials to cut the drugs and their cumulative toxicity by 50 percent. He said he does not expect science to find a cure, but rather hopes to make the disease a long-term, manageable health care problem.
"No one dies from HIV, but after a while the immune system is so weakened, it can be overcome by opportunistic infections," he said.
Soaring infection rates
While the United States, which has between 600,000 and 900,000 people with HIV, has been able to slow the rate of new infections to about 40,000 a year. The HIV/AIDS rate is skyrocketing in the rest of the world. Africa is home to 25 million of the world´s 36 million AIDS sufferers. It is estimated that 16,000 people a day contract the disease worldwide.
"We see 40 to 50 new cases a week," said Dr. Cox-Iyamu of the Whitman-Walker Clinic. She said it is estimated that one in 20 adults in Washington are HIV positive, many without knowing it. A most alarming trend is the rising rate of infection among young homosexual men.
"There is a sense that because people aren´t dying, AIDS has gone away," said Dr. Powderly, who also heads the HIV Medicine Association, a network of 2,000 AIDS doctors. "There is no cure. It is so incredibly naive, so stupid. It is a major societal disaster.
"More and more young men are getting HIV. They think its not a big deal; they can take the drugs. Getting AIDS is still a big, big deal," he said.
And unlike other diseases that generally strike the young and the old, AIDS hits the 15-year-old to 45-year old age group -- the parents, societal leadership, and economic breadwinners, creating 13 million orphans in Africa.
With the April agreement by the world´s top drug companies to provide inexpensive drugs to Africa and the rest of developing world, access to the life-prolonging drugs will become less difficult. But U.S. AIDS researchers caution that while drug availability is a necessary first step, just providing cheap or free drugs creates its own set of problems.
Africa has little or no health care infrastructure, and while the drugs have been made more "user friendly," the therapy is still extremely difficult to follow.
The side effects are real, and the risk of creating resistant virus strains in Africa enormous.
"Even if you make all the drugs available . . . the health care infrastructure in Africa is very poor. In fact it is minimal if not absent in many countries," said Dr. Fauci, who just returned from a trip to Uganda. "Just parachuting anti-retrovirals into a country is not going to stop the (AIDS epidemic)."
An expensive battle
By some estimates it will take at least $10 billion a year in a "Marshall Plan" to save Africa from AIDS.
Harvard economist Jeffrey Sachs, along with 127 other members of the Harvard faculty, has proposed one plan for tackling AIDS in Africa.
To initially help 1 million of the 25 million AIDS sufferers in Africa, Mr. Sachs estimates it would cost $1.1 billion the first year, growing to about $7 billion or $8 billion a year by the year 2006.
The Sachs plan calls for the United States to provide one-third of the amount.
Currently, the U.S. foreign aid budget is about $7 billion, with $4 billion earmarked for Israel and Egypt. Less than $200 million of that goes to Africa. The Harvard plan would boost U.S. funding almost 10 times, to $1.5 billion a year for AIDS.
In late April, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, told conferences in Africa and the United States that $7 billion to $10 billion a year is needed from governments and private sources to wage an effective campaign against the modern plague. He said current spending on AIDS research and prevention in developing countries is about $1 billion a year.
Mr. Annan said the United Nations should take the lead in coordinating the global battle against AIDS. He said strategy is to be addressed in a special session of the General Assembly on AIDS starting June 25.
The topic is to be continued at the meeting of the Group of Seven -- the United States, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan -- in Genoa, Italy, in July.
Global fund sought
"What I propose is a global fund dedicated to the battle against HIV, AIDS and other diseases," Mr. Annan told philanthropists in Philadelphia April 30.
On Friday, President Bush pledged $200 million for the fund. Secretary of State Colin Powell, who in his confirmation hearings called AIDS a national security problem, will travel to Africa at the end of the month to get a first-hand view of the pandemic.
While the drugs are less than perfect, Dr. Fauci was adamant that the world needs to face the problem.
"If we don´t make the right choices and deal with this in a comprehensive manner, I think you will see nations disintegrate, countries fall . . . We need to give them the drugs, but to just be pouring in drugs into a country won´t solve their AIDS problem," he said.
Dr. Powderly, who has 15 years of research and treating AIDS, said that while there has been a cure for tuberculosis for 30 years, TB rates and resistant TB rates are at their highest point in years.
"It is totally naive to think that just providing the drugs to Africa, in the absence of monitoring and infrastructure, will work," he said. "The good news is that it is actually hard to get HIV. That gives us an opportunity to help people not get infected."
Word that the world´s rich nations were prepared to contribute to a global fund to fight AIDS, malaria, TB and other infectious diseases came out of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund meetings in Washington April 30.
Reluctance to help
But it may be naive to think that Americans will support a massive infusion of aid to deal with AIDS worldwide.
A recent survey conducted by the Christian charity World Vision found that while Americans are aware of the international pandemic, they are unlikely to support more government aid to deal with the crisis.
According to the survey, 61 percent of Americans are not inclined to help overseas AIDS victims, and 54 percent are not even inclined to help AIDS orphans.
"The overall poll results are alarming, especially considering the AIDS epidemic is literally ripping the fabric of society in many African nations," said Richard Stearns, World Vision president.
Whether AIDS is automatically a terminal disease depends on how the disease is viewed.
"Is AIDS a death sentence? No. With the drugs we have now, I think it is a manageable, long-term health problem," said Dr. Powderly.
But for people who carry the virus, every day can be a roller coaster between hope and despair.
"I still consider this a death sentence," said Mr. Baker of the Whitman-Walker Clinic. "I´m turning 40 this year and there is never a time when you don´t feel death is just around the corner."
Hoping for a breakthrough
Mr. Baker, who has been HIV positive for several years, said that a truncated life of pill taking and toxic side effects is not enough.
"Where is the cure? Where is the vaccine?" he asked. "Tell the (AIDS researchers) 'Don´t go home. Stay late. Don´t take vacations. Find the cure. Find a vaccine.´´´
Dr. Cox-Iyamu said there is little hope for a cure, and she is not counting on a vaccine. In the meantime, she is resigned to working with the drugs that are available.
"When we first got the retroviral drugs, we saw a lot of success, and many people are still responding well, but others developed resistance or couldn´t take the side effects," she said. "As we use up the available medicines and there aren´t new ones on the horizon, the viral loads have gone back up. People are getting sick. A couple of new drugs may be available by next summer, but that will be too late for some."
Sitting in her office, decorated with pictures of her teen-age children, Dr. Cox-Iyamu said she fears for their lives.
"I am afraid for our youth," she said. "How do I defend my kids? I can only hope and pray that I have given them the proper moral code to protect themselves."
UN OK' ' s Population Growth Proposals

UNITED NATIONS -- Five years after world governments agreed to
a program to curb population growth, the U.N. General Assembly
has approved proposals providing for greater access to abortions
and sex education.
The Vatican and a few other conservative countries objected to
the proposals adopted late Friday.
Women' s groups, however, praised the agreement, calling it a
giant advance beyond the plan adopted at the 1994 U.N. population
conference in Cairo because it compels governments to take action
to increase and improve access to reproductive health care.
The Cairo conference adopted an ambitious 20-year program to
slow the growth of the world' s population -- which is slated to
reach 6 billion this year -- and held as a main premise that
population and development are linked, and that educated women
with access to reproductive health care have fewer children.
The three-day conference at U.N. headquarters was intended to
review the progress of the Cairo program and decide on new
proposals to implement it.
But negotiations got bogged down over contentious issues such
as making abortions " accessible" and safe where they
are legal and dedicating money to give girls education about
family planning and access to reproductive health care and
confidential counseling.
Late Thursday, however, consensus was achieved on those new
elements.
" I think a recognition is gaining -- regardless of the
small opposition -- that women have been neglected and have not
been addressed adequately, and that reproductive health issues
are a vast part of that, " said Dr. Nafis Sadik, executive
director of the U.N. Population Fund.
In addition to the abortion and reproductive health education
issues, the final document takes the Cairo program of action
several steps further by setting up new five-year goals on
reducing maternal mortality and HIV infection, increasing access
to universal health care and reducing the so-called " gender
gap" in education.
Argentina and Nicaragua made formal reservations to the final
document, particularly over the abortion aspect, and the Vatican
also voiced opposition to the confidentiality of adolescent sex
education.
" The Holy See has found it particularly disconcerting
that some delegations, namely from western states, have sought in
these negotiations to undo the careful balancing needed between
adolescents' need for privacy and confidentiality with parental
rights, duties and responsibilities, " said the Vatican' s
chief U.N. representative, Archbishop Renato Raffaele Martino.
But the Vatican-led effort to stymie agreement on the most
contentious issues fell apart after the so-called Group of 77
developing countries failed to muster a cohesive position
opposing the document.
" I think part of the exhilaration is that there was a
handful that tried to thwart it and they failed, " said
Adrienne Germain, president of the International Women' s Health
Coalition and a member of the U.S. delegation to the conference.
Despite the euphoria, however, several delegates said funding
the services now required in the implementation agreement was key
to making Cairo a reality.
Population Action International, a not-for-profit
organization, urged the private sector to play a bigger role both
in delivering health care services and providing contraceptives.
" Governments shouldn' t see themselves as being let off
the hook, however, " said the organization' s president Amy
Cohen. " Public sector funding is particularly important to
the provision of services to those least able to pay, for
example, young people and the rural poor."

Eliminate the Useless Eaters

Every time I turn around I will hear over the news, or read in
the paper of the tremendous over population of our planet. This
is very interesting, because, from what I understand, if you took
the entire population of the world, stood them side by side in
the state of Texas, each person would have 1000 square feet. We
are also told through various media sources, that we are using up
the earths precious resources.
Yet we have the technology to find a license plate on a car by
use of a satellite. We have the technology for our government to
listen to every phone call going on in the United States by use
of a computer. This computer has about 400 key words, that if it
picks up on any of these words, will record the phone call. We
have the technology to put a computer chip contain all
information on a person in the back of their hand the size of a
grain of rice . We have the technology to put all information on
a person on a strip in the back of their license, that can be run
though a little machine and call up all info on that person. Is
the media trying to tell us that we don't have the ability to use
the earths precious resources wisely to feed and cloth everyone
on the planet? I mean, our government pays farmers not to grow
food. Food in third world countries is stored in buildings and
left to rot. What is going on here?
What would be the purpose of stressing a fact that isn't even
true? For those of you folks who have read the Iron Mountain
Report, you will notice that they stress that the population
would have to be at a controllable level. They give many examples
on how the population could be brought down to a level that would
be controllable. The simple fact is that there are simply too
many people on the earth to be controlled at this point.
The following information is taken from the report written by Dr.
J Coleman, (copyright 1992: 2533 North Carson Street, Carson
City, NV 89706) "Global 2000: A Blueprint For Global
Genocide". I will be using quotes out of the report that
should get every reader thinking.
In the first paragraph of the report Dr. Coleman wrote, he
stated, "In 1979 I received a copy of a massive document
commissioned by the Club of Rome and written by Cyrus Vance,
three days after President James Earl Carter accepted it as
official U.S. Policy....Global 2000 was unknown outside the
Committee of 300 and carefully chosen official inside U.S.
Government circles...." Keep in mind that many of the ideas
for "Goals 2000" came from 19th century thinkers and
writers such as Jeremy Bentham, William Petty-the Earl of
Shelburne, H.G. Wells and Lord Bertrand Russell. (page one,
paragraph three)
"In his book 'The Impact of Science on Society' Russell
expounded his views on how the world's population ought to be
controlled, so as not to become a threat to the privileged
rulers...." (page three, paragraph five)
"We are also witnessing the Great Plagues of 1987-2000 in
the form of AIDS, herpes, cholera, smallpox,
tuberculosis....Aids, as we know, is an artificially induced
virus which in effect is a cancer of the blood.The first
experiments were conducted in Africa on the border of Sierra
Leone and Nigeria..." (page four and five paragraph's five
and one)
"...namely that the world is populated with too many
redundant people who must not be allowed to procreate and consume
scarce natural resources..." (page five paragraph five)
"..jobless people be confined in concentration camps, run by
a join stock company for profit....Once committed to
concentration camps, inmates would never leave there alive."
(Page six, paragraph two)
"Bentham, Shelburne, Wells and Russell hated the idea of
education for the masses....systems in operation that would allow
people to have a vocabulary of no more than 500 words....might
help to explain why Alexander King of the Club of Rome was
commissioned to destroy education in America.....A destructed
education system qualifying millions who can barely read and
write....will ensure a society in which the majority can and will
be easily manipulated by men like President Bush, Cyrus Vance,
Lord Carrington and James Baker III." (page six, paragraph
five)
"The First and Second World Wars were wars designed to kill
millions....were not successful enough hence the new methods
outlined in the Global 2000 Report." (page seven, paragraph
two)
"the mechanism of agriculture and the industrialization of
the world was a terrible mistake....it has led to, and presently
supports, a mass of people who perform no indispensable
service....consuming the limited resources and destroying the
environment of the globe....which they...the Committee of 300
representing the 'preordained leaders' of the world, say is
theirs.....the remedy...lies in destroying an economy based upon
agricultural and industrial expansion, because these support
larger and larger populations of unwanted 'useless eaters'."

"The 'surplus population' thus created is targeted for death
as 'useless eaters' in terms so clearly expressed in the Global
2000 Report." (page eight, paragraph four)
"By the year 2000 the world SHALL have rid itself of at
least 100 million 'useless eaters' and by the year 2050, the
number culled SHALL amount to not less then 400 million."

"By the year 2000...cases of AIDS in America will have
reached 10 million, with millions more dying of AIDS-related
diseases like tuberculosis, meningitis, cholera and more than
likely, from bubonic plague. These events were planned and they
are ongoing." (Page nine paragraph five)
The quotes I have given from Dr. Coleman's report sound pretty
unbelievable. Or do they? Let's take a look at what is happening
in our country. In the report, Dr. Coleman mentioned abortion and
the gay life style. Abortion has killed about 36 million babies.
Many in America have been conditioned to believe this is not
murder, but it has reduce America's population by 36 million. The
gay life style was encouraged, because with same sex partners,
there is no procreation.
The education system in America as "dumb downed" our
children so much that people are going to and graduating from
college who can't read. Outcomebased Education does not teach the
basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. It is training our
children to become "global citizens".
The environmental movement is bringing man down to a level lower
than the animals. In public schools, children are being taught to
worship "Mother Earth". People can no longer do with
their property what they want, but are accountable to the
government if they want to add a room to their house, put a side
walk up, cut a tree down.
Our weather is being controlled. Droughts, earthquakes, floods,
hurricanes are rampant. People are starving to death because of
droughts in their countries and the food being shipped to them is
being left to rot in storage houses.
Aids is rampant. The behaviors that cause the spread of Aids is
being encouraged by our government.
Civilian labor camps are being put up on military installations.
Saw an interesting article in the Daily News, January 8, 1995. It
was called "Doing Time On The Outside". It talks about
using prisoners to do work, like construction or road work, while
they are in prison to save the taxpayers money. A sign on outside
the Department of Corrections said, "Inmate Work Crews,
Reducing Costs to Taxpayers". As I was reading the article,
the thought kept going through my mind, "Is this how they
are going to get people use to seeing prisoner slave labor?"
Global 2000 doesn't seem to have a list of people who they want
to get. It seems that they consider most of the population
"useless eaters". I do imagine they will go after
people fighting this first. There was no evidence that folks who
keep quite and don't try to get the word out would be safe. No
one will be safe. The Committee of 300 believe that the world is
theirs to do with as they want. The rest of us are excess
baggage.
This report reminds me of a scripture verse. Matthew 24:21-22,
"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since
the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
and except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh
be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be
shortened."

The Population Control Agenda (Pt 1)

Planned population control including genocide is a
difficult concept for Americans to accept. Even though the U.S. government helps
finance the Red Chinese program of forced abortion, sterilization and
infanticide, and helps finance the United Nations "family planning program,"
most people find it impossible to believe that such programs are really part of
a larger plan to kill off large segments of the world's population.
"How can you possibly believe that?" I am frequently
asked. The answer is quite simple: I have read the writings of those who intend
to depopulate large segments of the earth and I believe them. They have written
of the necessity of reducing-by force if necessary-the world's
population.
Margaret Sanger and Planned
Parenthood
Our tax money finances Planned Parenthood, an
organization founded by Margaret Sanger. In Planned Parenthood's 1985 Annual
Report, its leaders proclaimed that they were, "Proud of our past, and
planning for our future."1
How could anyone claim to be proud of an organization
when history records that its founder wrote of the necessity of "the
extermination of 'human weeds'...the 'cessation of charity'...the segregation of
'morons, misfits, and the maladjusted' and...the sterilization of 'genetically
inferior races?'"2
During the 1930s Margaret Sanger published The
Birth Control Review, in which she openly supported Nazi Germany's
"infanticide program" in the 1930s, and publicly championed Adolf Hitler's goal
of Aryan white supremacy. Prior to World War II she commissioned Nazi Ernst
Rudin, director of the dreaded German medical experimentation programs, to serve
as an advisor to her organization.
In Killer Angel, George Grant chronicled the
life and writings of Margaret Sanger, including her plans for genetically
engineering the human race. Margaret Sanger's The Pivot of Civilization
called for "the elimination of human weeds," and the "cessation of charity"
because it prolonged the lives of the unfit. She called for the segregation of
the unfit and prohibiting them to reproduce.
In 1939, Margaret Sanger organized the Negro
Project, designed to eliminate members of what she believed to be an
"inferior race." She justified her proposal because "the masses of Negroes...
particularly in the South, still breed carelessly and disastrously, with the
result that the increase among Negroes, even more than among whites, is from
that portion of the population least intelligent and fit..."3
She then went on to reveal that she intended to "hire
three or four colored ministers to travel to various black enclaves to
propagandize for birth control...The most successful educational approach to
the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want word to go out that we
want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can
straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious
members."4
As Margaret Sanger's organization grew, she wrote of
the necessity of targeting religious groups for destruction as well, believing
that the "dysgenic races" should include "fundamentalists and Catholics" in
addition to "blacks, Hispanics, [and] American Indians."5 As the years passed, Sanger became increasingly
obsessed with occult beliefs and hostile to Christianity and the American
precept of individual freedom. Her distaste for America is evident in her
writings:
"Birth control appeals to the advanced radical because it is
calculated to undermine the authority of the Christian churches. I look forward
to seeing humanity free someday of the tyranny of Christianity no less than
Capitalism."6
Just like Adolf Hitler, Margaret Sanger was a
disciple of Theosophy and its founder, Madame Blavatsky. Both Sanger and Hitler
were involved in a religion that worshipped Lucifer and were energized by the
same dark, spiritual forces.
Lucis Trust is a prominent modern day representative
of Theosophy, an extension of the Lucifer Publishing Company, which is also a
United Nations NGO. Lucis Trust was founded by Alice A. Bailey during the early
20th century. Bailey was a disciple of Madame Blavatsky and nominal leader of
the Theosophical Society in the early 1900s.
Because the name "Lucifer" had such a bad
connotation, Bailey changed the name of her organization from the Lucifer
Publishing Company to Lucis Trust. The nature and beliefs of this organization,
however, have always remained the same.
Lucis Trust is one of the major front groups through
which Theosophy influences life in America. Publications from Lucis Trust
regularly refer to "The Plan" for humanity that has been established by "The
Hierarchy." Sanger's disciples are alive and functioning today, influencing
national and international population control policy.
David Graber, a research biologist with the National
Park Service, was quoted in the Los Angeles Times Book Review Section, October
22, 1989, as saying, "Human happiness and certainly human fecundity are not
as important as a wild and healthy planet. I know social scientists who remind
me that people are part of nature, but it isn't true...We have become a plague
upon ourselves and upon the Earth...Until such time as homosapiens should decide
to rejoin nature, some of us can only hope for the
right virus to come
along." 7
In The First Global Revolution, published by
the Council of the Club of Rome, an international elitist organization, the
authors note that, "In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up
with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages,
famine, and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human
intervention... The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."8
On April 5, 1994 the Los Angeles Times
quoted Cornell University Professor David Pimentel, speaking to the American
Association for the Advancement of Science, saying that, "The total world
population should be no more than 2 billion rather than the current 5.6
billion."
In the UNESCO Courier of November 1991,
Jacques Cousteau wrote, "The damage people cause to the planet is a function
of demographics-it is equal to the degree of development. One American burdens
the earth much more than twenty Bangladeshes... This is a terrible thing to say.
In order to stabilize world population, we must eliminate 350,000 people per
day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it's just as bad not to say
it."9
In The Impact of Science on Society,
Bertrand Russell said, "At present the population of the world is
increasing...War so far has had no great effect on this increase... I do not
pretend that birth control is the only way in which population can be kept from
increasing. There are others...If a Black Death could be spread throughout the
world once in every generation, survivors could procreate freely without making
the world too full...the state of affairs might be somewhat unpleasant, but what
of it? Really high-minded people are indifferent to suffering, especially that
of others."
Negative Population Growth Inc. of Teaneck, New
Jersey recently circulated a letter stating their long-range goal: "We
believe that our goal for the United States should be no more than 150 million;
our size in 1950. For the world, we believe our goal should be a population of
not more than two billion, its size shortly after the turn of the
century."10
This amount is impossible to achieve by means of
normal attrition and birth control and there is sufficient evidence to indicate
other plans are afoot.
More New Age Influence
Speaking at Gorbachev's State of the World Forum in
San Francisco in 1996, New Age writer and philosopher Dr. Sam Keen stated that
there was strong agreement that religious institutions have to take a primary
responsibility for the population explosion.
He went on to say that, "We must speak far more
clearly about sexuality, contraception, about abortion, about values that
control the population, because the ecological crisis, in short, is the
population crisis. Cut the population by 90% and there aren't enough people left
to do a great deal of ecological damage."
Dr. Keen's remarks were met with applause from the
assembled audience of New Age adherents, Socialists, Internationalists and
occultists.
Next month, we'll explore some specific cases of
covert as well as blatant population control, including the link between
abortions and breast cancer and what really happened during the Rwanda
massacres.

The Infamous Tuskegee Study
The influence of population control advocates can be seen in the
Tuskegee Study, a scientific research program in which 400 syphilis-infected
black men were recruited by the U.S. Public Health Service in 1932. The
participants were told that they would be treated for their infections but
instead had all effective medicine withheld. The black men were actively
prevented from obtaining treatment elsewhere as their bodies, and the bodies of
their wives and children, were systematically ravaged by disease.
The men who conceived this Nazi-style study justified their
atrocity by saying that scientists needed to learn how untreated syphilis
progressed in the human body. For forty years-from 1932 until 1972-the genocidal
Tuskegee Study continued. It was not until 1972, after one newspaper finally
broke the story, that the study was finally terminated. By that time, only 125
of the original 400 men survived. According to Margaret Sanger's1 sense of morality, experiments on "human weeds" were
fully justified in the name of "science."
To this day, 25 years after the end of that grotesque human
experiment, none of the perpetrators of that atrocity has ever been accused or
indicted of a crime. Do you honestly believe for one moment that such an
experiment would have been tolerated here in America had the participants been
white men?2
DDT Saved Lives
Another more effective method of reducing world population was
devised in the early 1960s by environmentalists and population-control
adherents: blocking the use of DDT for mosquito and malaria control, which had
been found to be extremely effective in saving human lives.
In 1970 the National Academy of Sciences, in their book Life
Sciences, stated that, "In little more than two decades DDT
has prevented 500 million deaths due to malaria."
To population control advocates, this preservation of human life
was intolerable, so they set out to outlaw further use of the pesticide. Up
until 1970 all reliable scientific data had consistently demonstrated that DDT
was safe for both humans and animals. Indeed, DDT was the safest pesticide ever
known to mankind. Furthermore, it was inexpensive and could be widely used in
third-world countries to control the spread of insect-borne diseases.
Accordingly, population control adherents set out to have DDT
banned in the name of saving the environment. You probably remember the
contrived stories declaring that DDT caused softening of eggshells, interfered
with the balance of nature, and endangered humanity by entering the food chain.
In truth, all of those stories were fabricated and part of a carefully
coordinated program to block further use of the lifesaving pesticide.
William Ruckelshaus was a longtime member of the Environmental
Defense Fund and Director of the EPA. He outlawed further use of DDT in 1972
despite the recommendation of the EPA Chairman Investigating Committee, which
had heard six months of testimony on use of the pesticide, and had determined
that DDT was completely safe. When Ruckelshaus outlawed further use of DDT, he
signed the death warrant for hundreds of millions of helpless human beings
living in third-world countries.
In Remembering Silent Spring and Its Consequences,

from a speech by Victor Yanconne, founder of the Environmental Defense Fund. In
that talk, Mr. Yanconne related a story told to him by a reporter who had asked
Dr. Charles Wurster, one of the major opponents of DDT, whether a ban on DDT
wouldn't actually result in far greater use of more toxic pesticides. Dr.
Wurster is reported to have replied, "So what? People are the cause of all the
problems. We have too many of them. We need to get rid of some of them and this
is as good a way as any."
When asked by the same reporter, "Doctor, how do you square the
killing of people with the mere loss of some birds?" Dr. Wurster is reported to
have replied, "It doesn't really make a lot of difference, because
organophosphate acts locally and only kills farm workers and most of them are
Mexicans and Negroes."4
If the National Academy of Sciences was correct in its 1970
assessment, we have probably lost over 600 million human lives during the past
twenty-five years since advocates of population control succeeded in outlawing
DDT.5
Abortion, Breast Cancer and Population
Control
Many physicians are concerned about dramatic increases in breast
carcinoma in women. Despite the fact that 18 scientific studies in domestic and
foreign medical journals have demonstrated the direct relationship between
first-trimester abortions and breast cancer, all efforts to disseminate that
information here in the United States have been consistently blocked by those
favoring abortion and population control.
In the fall of 1996 a new scientific paper consisting of a
meta-analysis of 23 scientific studies on the relationship between first
trimester abortions and breast cancer was published in a British medical
journal. It demonstrated a higher incidence of breast cancer in women who had
first-trimester abortions.
In response to that publication, the American Medical
Association (AMA), the American Cancer Society (ACS), and
pro-abortion/population control advocates joined together to attack the
conclusions of the authors, and to block all efforts to disseminate that
information to American physicians. The AMA, the ACS, and the pro-death lobby
continue to insist that women must not be advised of the risk they incur when
they destroy the life of their unborn child.
Current abortion policies in America are absolutely necessary to
reduce our population. That is why a minor child can be taken from school to an
abortion clinic without parental notification. Yet that same child cannot be
given an aspirin without parental consent. It all has to do with population
control.6
The Massacres in Africa
What really happened to Christians in Rwanda between April and
July of 1994 is a shocking story. After the Christian Tutsis were disarmed by
governmental decree in the early 1990s, Hutu-led military forces began to
systematically massacre the defenseless Christians beginning in April 1994 and
continuing until July 1994. Using machetes rather than bullets, the Hutu forces
created a state of terror within the helpless Christian population as they
systematically butchered thousands.
The United Nations immediately convened hearings on Rwanda, but
Madeline Albright, American Ambassador to the United Nations, argued strenuously
that neighboring African nations should not be allowed to intervene until the
"civil war had come to an end." In reality, there was no civil war,
since those being slaughtered had no weapons with which to defend themselves; it
was simply a matter of mass murder.
In addition to blocking intervention by neighboring nations,
Madeline Albright also insisted that the word "genocide" not be used, and that
United Nations forces stationed in Rwanda were not to be allowed to intervene.
In the three months that followed, between one-half and three-quarters of a
million Christians were systematically dismembered, hacked to death, and
slaughtered in the bloody carnage that ensued. Tens of thousands of Christians
were murdered in churches; tens of thousands more were murdered in hospitals and
schools. On several occasions, United Nations soldiers stationed in Rwanda
actually handed helpless Christians over to members of the Hutu militia. They
then stood by as their screaming charges were unceremoniously hacked to
pieces.
At the end of the carnage in late July 1994, the American
government rewarded the Hutu murderers with millions of dollars in foreign aid.
The American press has been silent about the fact that almost all people
slaughtered were Christians, and that it was our government's policy that was
primarily responsible for blocking efforts by neighboring African countries to
intervene.7
There are dozens of other examples of population control
programs which have been implemented throughout our world by modern-day
"Malthusians" in their effort to ensure that the world population is
dramatically curtailed. To date it is estimated that far more than one
billion human lives have been terminated as a result
of the worldwide abortion programs financed by the United States. In addition,
we are beginning to see the devastating effects of the AIDS epidemic as this
plague begins to depopulate large areas of Asia and Africa. Rational efforts to
address the HIV epidemic throughout the world continue to be blocked. Rather
than utilizing proven public health methods, advocates of population control
continue to promote both hedonistic sex education and condom distribution, which
will only assure the disease will continue to spread.

The Population Control Agenda

One of the most difficult concepts for Americans
to accept is that there are human beings dedicated to coercive
population control and genocide. Many readers will acknowledge
that our government is helping to finance the Red Chinese program
of forced abortion, forced sterilization, infanticide, and
control of the numbers of live births. Most readers will accept
the fact that our nation is helping to finance the United
Nations' world-wide "family planning program," a form
of population control. Most rational men and women, however, find
it impossible to believe that such programs are really part of a
"master plan" to kill off large segments of the world's
population.
I shall have to admit that I studied the politics of AIDS (HIV
disease) for over a decade before I finally came to a horrifying
conclusion. The real motivation behind efforts to block
utilization of standard public health measures to control further
spread of the HIV epidemic was "population control."
That was not an easy concept for me to acknowledge, despite the
fact that I had long recognized that the twentieth century has
been the bloodiest hundred-year period in all recorded human
history.
It was not until I journeyed to Elberton, Georgia, stood within
the dark shadows of the great Druid-like monument built there,
and read the words engraved on the massive stone pillars of that
structure that I finally came to accept the truth. At that point
it became obvious that just as our Lord has given mankind Ten
Commandments to guide our lives, so, too, those from "the
dark side" have been given their instructions from the
"one" they worship. The ten programs of the
"guides" are inscribed in eight different languages on
the four great granite pillars of the American Stonehenge. That
message foretells a terrifying future for humanity, and explains
why efforts to approach the AIDS epidemic from a logical point of
view have been consistently thwarted.
1 Before you scoff, and reject my suggestion as
some sort of madness, check out my references, then try to
disprove my conclusions. If my allegations are unfounded, you
will soon recognize the deception and return to your daily
activities, certain that there is no cause for concern. On the
other hand, should you determine that my assessment is correct,
or even partially correct, then you have a moral obligation to
decide just what part you intend to play in response to the
unfolding world genocide - how you will protect yourself, your
loved ones, and the countless millions of helpless human beings
throughout the world who have been marked for destruction.
You must never forget the warning recorded for
posterity by Martin Niemoeller, the Lutheran minister who lived
in Hitler's Germany during the 1930s and 1940s. His words echo
down to us over succeeding decades:
"In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I
didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for
the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they
came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I
wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I
didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for
me, and by that time no one was left to speak up."
2 You will note that Reverend Niemoeller
warned that after coming for the Jews the Nazis came for both
Catholics and Protestants. Why is that fact never mentioned? The
question that I am most frequently asked is, "How can you
possibly believe that there are people who intend to kill off
large segments of the world's population?" My
answer is really quite simple. I hold that belief because I have
read their writings. I believe they are telling the truth. Just
as Adolf Hitler wrote of his plans for Europe in "Mein
Kampf" (My Plan), so, too, those who intend to depopulate
large segments of the earth have written of the necessity of
limiting the world's population. They fully intend to
"exterminate" a significant portion of the world's
population. The fact that the vast majority of Americans have
never heard of their intent, of The Georgia Guidestones in
Elberton, or of "The Plan" and "The
Hierarchy" attests to the degree of control that exists over
what the American people have been allowed to know about the
occultic forces which are working within our society today. Margaret
Sanger and Planned ParenthoodAs you read on you
will soon discover that I have primarily relied on material which
can be readily found in books, audio-taped interviews, and public
news sources. If you take the time to check my references, you
will soon discover that there really are those who have
publicly advocated the elimination of "human weeds" and
"the cleansing of society." Indeed, to this
very day your tax money is used to finance Planned Parenthood, an
organization founded by Margaret Sanger. During the 1930s
Margaret Sanger openly supported the Nazi plan for genetic
engineering of the German population, and the propagation of a
"super race." In Planned Parenthood's 1985 "Annual
Report" leaders of that organization proclaimed that they
were, "Proud of our past, and planning for our future."
3 How could anyone possibly claim to be proud of
the organization founded by Margaret Sanger when history records
that she wrote of the necessity of: "the extermination
of 'human weeds' ...the 'cessation of charity,' ... the
segregation of 'morons, misfits, and the maladjusted,' and ...
the sterilization of 'genetically inferior races.'"
4 Margaret Sanger published "The
Birth Control Review." In that magazine she openly supported
the "infanticide program" promoted by Nazi Germany in
the 1930s, and publicly championed Adolf Hitler's goal of Aryan
white supremacy. In the years prior to World War II Margaret
Sanger commissioned Ernst Rudin, a member of the Nazi Party, and
director of the dreaded German Medical Experimentation Programs,
to serve as an advisor to her organization. In his excellent book
"Killer Angel," George Grant chronicles the life and
writings of Margaret Sanger, and painstakingly documents Sanger's
plans for the genetic engineering of the human race. George Grant
noted that in the 1920s Margaret Sanger wrote "The Pivot of
Civilization" in which she called for: "The
'elimination of 'human weeds,' for the 'cessation of charity'
because it prolonged the lives of the unfit, for the segregation
of 'morons, misfits, and the maladjusted,' and for the
sterilization of genetically inferior races.'"
5 According to George Grant, Margaret
Sanger believed that the unfit should not be allowed to
reproduce. Accordingly, she opened a birth control clinic in: "The
Brownsville section of New York, an area populated by newly
immigrated Slavs, Latins, Italians, and Jews. She targeted the
'unfit' for her crusade to 'save the planet.'"
6 Nineteen years later, in 1939,
Margaret Sanger organized her "Negro project," a
program designed to eliminate members of what she believed to be
an "inferior race." Margaret Sanger justified her
proposal because she believed that: "The masses of
Negroes ...particularly in the South, still breed carelessly and
disastrously, with the result that the increase among Negroes,
even more than among whites, is from that portion of the
population least intelligent and fit..."
7 Margaret Sanger then went on to reveal
that she intended to hire three or four Colored Ministers
"to travel to various black enclaves to propagandize for
birth control." She wrote: "The most successful
educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal.
We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the
Negro population, and the Minister is the man who can straighten
out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious
members." (emphasis added-Ed.)
8 As Margaret Sanger's organization grew
in power, influence, and acceptance, she began to write of the
necessity of targeting religious groups for destruction as well,
believing that the "dysgenic races" should
include "Fundamentalists and Catholics" in
addition to "blacks, Hispanics, (and) American
Indians."
9 As the years went by, Margaret Sanger became
increasingly obsessed with her occultic beliefs. Along with her
acceptance of the occult, she became increasingly hostile to both
Christianity and the American precepts of individual freedom
under God. Her distaste for America can be seen in her writings
when she wrote: "Birth control appeals to the advanced
radical because it is calculated to undermine the authority of
the Christian churches. I look forward to seeing humanity free
someday of the tyranny of Christianity no less than
Capitalism."
10 Margaret Sanger eventually embraced
not only communism but theosophy as well. What is theosophy? It
is a covert, occultic religion based upon the repudiation of God
and the worship of Lucifer. In modern-day America, theosophy is
one of the most powerful hidden (occult) forces working behind
the scenes in New York City, Washington D.C., and across our
nation today.
11 How many times have you been told that Adolf
Hitler killed 6 million Jews in the Holocaust? What you probably
have never been told, however, is the segment of the Holocaust
tragedy recorded by Professor Norman Cohn in his historical
account of the Jewish Holocaust, "Warrant for
Genocide." Professor Cohn chronicled the dark days of World
War II, noting: Only about a third of the civilians killed by
the Nazis and their accomplices were Jews ...Other peoples were
marked out for decimation, subjugation, and enslavement, and the
civilian losses of some of these (countries - Ed.) amounted to 11
per cent to 12 per cent of the total population."
12 If Professor Cohn's figures are
accurate - and I feel certain that they are, because other Jewish
researchers have come up with similar figures - then why haven't
the Christians of America been allowed to learn the fact that in
addition to the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis, somewhere
between 7 and 12 million non-Jews were also ruthlessly liquidated
in Hitler's Germany? I believe this information has been
intentionally suppressed because those who were killed were
largely Christians, and the covert forces which control the
reality of the American public today do not want the followers of
Jesus Christ in our nation to awaken to their peril ...until it
is far too late. Hitler hated not only Jews and Judaism, he also
hated Christians and Christianity as well. Why was that? Because
Adolf Hitler, just like Margaret Sanger, was a disciple of
theosophy and of Madame Blavatsky, the founder of a religion that
worshipped Lucifer. Accordingly, both Margaret Sanger and Adolf
Hitler were energized by the same "dark, spiritual
forces." The fact that most of our citizens have
never heard of Madame Blavatsky, theosophy, or that two of
theosophy's most ardent disciples were Adolf Hitler and Margaret
Sanger clearly reflects the degree of control that exists over
what the American people have been allowed to learn about the
occultic forces at work in our nation today.
As a researcher on the subject of the occult, I regularly receive
letters and publications from the Lucis Trust. The Lucis Trust of
today is the modern-day extension of the "Lucifer Publishing
Company," an organization founded by Alice Bailey during the
early years of the twentieth century. Alice Bailey was a disciple
of Madame Blavatsky and the nominal leader of the Theosophical
Society between the early 1900s and the late 1920s. Because the
name "Lucifer" had such a bad connotation in those
days, Alice Bailey changed the name of her organization from
"The Lucifer Publishing Company" to "The Lucis
Trust." The nature and beliefs of her organization, however,
have always remained the same. The Lucis Trust of today is one of
the major front groups through which theosophy works to influence
life here in America. The supernatural powers that still energize
The Lucis Trust today certainly come from the same dark,
spiritual forces that energized Madame Blavatsky, Adolf Hitler,
and Margaret Sanger in generations past. Publications from The
Lucis Trust regularly refer to "The Plan" for humanity
that has been established by "The Hierarchy." Part of
that plan is inscribed on the great granite pillars of the
American Stonehenge in Elberton, Georgia ... "The
Georgia Guidestones."
13 A full discussion on the subjects of
population control and occultism is far beyond the scope of this
short monograph. Full documentation on these subjects will be
found in my soon-to-be-published book, "None Dare Call
It Genocide." At this point let me simply offer a few
examples of the views expressed by those who publicly advocate
population reduction and/or genocide.
David Graber, a research biologist with the National Park
Service, was quoted in the Los Angeles Times Book Review Section,
October 22, 1989, as saying: "Human happiness and
certainly human fecundity are not as important as a wild and
healthy planet. I know social scientists who remind me that
people are part of nature, but it isn't true ... We have become a
plague upon ourselves and upon the Earth ...Until such time as
homo sapiens should decide to rejoin nature, some of us can only
hope for the right virus to come along."
14 Michael Fox, when he was the vice-president of
The Humane Society of the United States wrote, "Mankind
is the most dangerous, destructive, selfish and unethical animal
on the earth."
15 In "The First Global Revolution,"
published by The Council of the Club of Rome, an international
elitist organization, the authors note that: "In
searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea
that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages,
famine, and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are
caused by human intervention ...The real enemy, then, is humanity
itself."
16 The Los Angeles Times of April 5, 1994 quoted
Cornell University Professor David Pimentel, speaking before the
American Association for the Advancement of Science, as saying
that, "The total world population should be no more than
2 billion rather than the current 5.6 billion." In the
UNESCO Courier of November 1991, Jacques Cousteau wrote: "The
damage people cause to the planet is a function of demographics -
it is equal to the degree of development. One American burdens
the earth much more than twenty Bangladeshes ... This is a
terrible thing to say. In order to stabilize world population, we
must eliminate 350,000 people per day. It is a horrible thing to
say, but it's just as bad not to say it."
17 Bertrand Russell, in his book, "The
Impact of Science on Society," wrote, "At present
the population of the world is increasing ... War so far has had
no great effect on this increase ... I do not pretend that birth
control is the only way in which population can be kept from
increasing. There are others ... If a Black Death could be spread
throughout the world once in every generation, survivors could
procreate freely without making the world too full ... the state
of affairs might be somewhat unpleasant, but what of it? Really
high-minded people are indifferent to suffering, especially that
of others."
18 Negative Population Growth Inc. of Teaneck,
New Jersey recently circulated a letter stating their long-range
goal. "We believe that our goal for the United States
should be no more than 150 million, our size in 1950. For the
world, we believe our goal should be a population of not more
than two billion, its size shortly after the turn of the
century."
19 In the Global Assessment Report of UNEP (a
United Nations sponsored study group), Phase One Draft, Section
9, the authors quoted an expert who suggested that: "A
reasonable estimate for an industrialized world society at the
present North American material standard of living would be 1
billion. At the more frugal European standard of living, 2 to 3
billion would be possible."
20 More New Age Influence
Speaking at a round-table discussion group at the Gorbachev
Conference held in San Francisco in the fall of 1996, Dr. Sam
Keen, a New Age writer and philosopher stated that there was
strong agreement that religious institutions have to take a
primary responsibility for the population explosion. He went on
to say that, "We must speak far more clearly about
sexuality, contraception, about abortion, about values that
control the population, because the ecological crisis, in short,
is the population crisis. Cut the population by 90% and there
aren't enough people left to do a great deal of ecological
damage."
Mr. Keen's remarks were met with applause from the assembled
audience made up largely of New Age adherents, Socialists,
Internationalists and occultists. Many of the leading occultists
of our modern world attended that meeting in San Francisco, a
meeting organized by Mikhail Gorbachev, former Director of the
Soviet KGB, and later President of Russia.
21 What is the message found on The
Georgia Guidestones? What is the plan of the
"guides"? If you read occultic literature, you will
soon find that those who worship Lucifer today refer to a
"Hierarchy" that guides both their actions and the
affairs of the world. Who are the "Hierarchy"? The
Lucis Trust, formerly The Lucifer Publishing Company, recently
sent a letter to their supporters stating, "The
spiritual Hierarchy makes definite use of the twelve spiritual
Festival periods. We can learn to cooperate with the members of
the Hierarchy as they work to bring the divine Plan to the
attention of men and women of goodwill and spiritual aspiration
everywhere throughout the world. The idea of spiritual approach -
of Hierarchy to humanity and humanity to Hierarchy - is the
primary principle underlying meditation ...understanding of how
the spiritual energies which flow through each zodiacal sign can
illumine and inspire right human relations."
22 The ancient Druids were members of an occultic
religion; the circle of monuments at Stonehenge in England is
occultic; and the message engraved on the American Stonehenge in
Elberton is occultic. Yoko Ono is the widow of John Lennon, a man
who was deeply involved in the occult. Yoko Ono has written a
musical score with three movements dedicated to the message of
The Georgia Guidestones. She was recently quoted as saying, "I
want people to know about the stones ...We're headed toward a
world where we might blow ourselves up and maybe the globe will
not exist ... it's a nice time to reaffirm ourselves, knowing all
the beautiful things that are in this country, and The Georgia
Stones symbolize that."
23 What is the message to modern-day man which is
engraved on the great stone pillars of the Druid-like monument in
Elberton? The first of the "guides" reads: "Maintain
humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
(This-Ed.) Means the entire human race at its climax level for
permanent balance with nature."
The Infamous Tuskegee StudyIn recent
history, we have seen the influence of occultic population
control advocates here in America. Nowhere is that influence
better demonstrated than in the Tuskegee Study, a scientific
research program in which 400 syphilis-infected black men were
recruited by the U.S. Public Health Service back in 1932. The
participants were all told that they would be treated for their
infections, but instead of treating their illness, all medicines
were withheld. The black men were then actively prevented from
obtaining treatment elsewhere as their bodies, and the bodies of
their wives and children, were systematically ravaged by disease.
The evil men who conceived that Nazi-style study justified their
atrocity by alleging that scientists needed to learn how
untreated syphilis progressed in the human body. For a period of
forty years, between 1932 and 1972, the genocidal Tuskegee Study
continued. It was not until 1972, when one newspaper finally had
the courage to break the story to the public, that the Tuskegee
Study was finally terminated. By that time, only 125 of the
original 400 black men had survived.
To this very day, 24 years after the end of that grotesque human
experiment, none of the perpetrators of that atrocity have ever
been either accused or indicted for their crimes. Back in 1932,
when the Tuskegee Study began, Margaret Sanger's ideas had
already begun to infect the minds and souls of physicians and
scientists here in America. According to Margaret Sanger's sense
of morality, experiments on "human weeds" were fully
justified in the name of "science." Do you honestly
believe for one moment that such an experiment would have been
tolerated here in America had the participants been white men?
24 Another far more effective method of reducing
the world population was devised in the early 1960s by a group of
environmentalists and population-control adherents. They
set out to block the use of DDT for mosquito and malaria control
after it had been found that the insecticide was extremely
effective in saving human lives.
Alexander King, president of the Club of Rome, wrote, "My
own doubts came when DDT was introduced. In Guyana, within two
years, it had almost eliminated malaria. So my chief quarrel with
DDT,in hindsight, is that it has greatly added to the population
problem."
25 In 1970 The National Academy of Sciences, in
their book "Life Sciences," stated that, "In
little more than two decades DDT has prevented 500 million deaths
due to malaria."
To population-control advocates, this
irresponsible preservation of human life was unconscionable, so
they set out to outlaw further use of the pesticide. Up until
1970 all reliable scientific data had consistently demonstrated
that DDT was completely safe for both humans and animals. Indeed,
DDT was the safest pesticide ever known to mankind. Furthermore,
it was inexpensive and could be widely used in third-world
countries to control the spread of insect-borne diseases.
Accordingly, population-control adherents set out to have DDT
banned in the name of saving the environment.
You have probably read the contrived stories alleging that DDT
caused softening of eggshells, interfered with the balance of
nature, and endangered humanity by entering into the food chain.
In truth, all of those stories were fabricated, and were simply
part of a carefully coordinated program to block further use of
the life-saving pesticide. If you are interested in learning the
truth concerning the deceitful campaign waged against DDT, I
suggest that you order a copy of my audio-taped interviews with
Dr. J. Gordon Edwards. Dr. Edwards is a world-renowned biologist
who led the fight in the 1960s to counter the propaganda program
waged by environmentalists and population-control advocates to
ban further use of DDT. You can also order a copy of Dr. Edward's
excellent monograph, "Remembering Silent Spring and its
Consequences."
William Ruckelshaus was a long-time member of the Environmental
Defense Fund, and the Director of the EPA. He outlawed further
use of DDT in 1972 despite the recommendation of the chairman of
the EPA investigating committee which had heard six months of
testimony on use of the pesticide, and had determined that DDT
was completely safe. When Ruckelshaus outlawed further use of
DDT, he signed the death warrant for hundreds of millions of
helpless human beings living in third-world countries. To those
energized by the dark side, however, the loss of hundreds of
millions of human lives was relatively inconsequential.
In his excellent monograph, "Remembering Silent Spring and
its Consequences," Professor J. Gordon Edwards quoted from a
speech delivered by Victor Yanconne, founder of the Environmental
Defense Fund. In that talk, Mr. Yanconne related a story told to
him by a reporter who had asked Dr. Charles Wurster, one of the
major opponents of DDT, whether a ban on DDT wouldn't actually
result in far greater use of much more toxic pesticides. Dr.
Wurster is reported to have replied: "So what? People
are the cause of all the problems. We have too many of them. We
need to get rid of some of them and this is as good a way as
any." hen asked by the same reporter, "Doctor,
how do you square the killing of people with the mere loss of
some birds?" Dr. Wurster is reported to have replied, "It
doesn't really make a lot of difference, because organo phosphate
acts locally and only kills farmworkers and most of them are
Mexicans and Negroes."
26 How many people have died in the past 25 years
since the use of DDT was outlawed? If the National Academy of
Sciences was correct in their 1970 assessment that 500 million
lives had been saved by DDT over a twenty-year period, then we
have probably lost well over 600 million human lives during the
past twenty-five years since advocates of population control
succeeded in outlawing DDT.
27 The Relationship Between Abortion,
Breast Carcinoma, and Population ControlLet me
offer another example of a population control program which is
being promoted here in the United States today. Many physicians
have expressed their concern about the dramatic increase in
breast carcinoma seen in women in recent years.
Despite the fact that 18 scientific studies published in both
domestic and foreign medical journals have clearly demonstrated
the direct causal relationship between first-trimester abortion
and breast cancer, all efforts to disseminate that information
here in the United States have been consistently blocked by those
who favor abortion and population control. In the fall of 1996 a
new scientific paper dealing with a meta-analysis of 23 different
scientific studies on the relationship between first-trimester
abortions and breast cancer was published in a British medical
journal.
That study clearly demonstrated a higher incidence of
breast cancer in women who had had first-trimester abortions.
In response to that publication, the American Medical Association
(AMA), the American Cancer Society (ACS), and
pro-abortion/population-control advocates joined together in an
unholy alliance to attack the conclusions of the authors, and to
block all efforts to disseminate that information to American
physicians. All of the organizations mentioned above continue to
oppose efforts to have physicians warn women of the risk they
face when they submit themselves to first-trimester abortions.
Before carrying out all surgical procedures in America
"advised consent" is required, except for abortion.
The AMA. the ACS, and the pro-death lobby continue to insist that
women must not be advised of the risk they incur when they
destroy the life of their unborn child. Why is there such
inconsistency? Current abortion policies in America are
absolutely necessary to reduce our population. That is why a
minor child can be taken from school to an abortion clinic
without parental notification, yet that same child cannot be
given an aspirin without parental consent. It all has to do with
population control.
28 Population Control in Russia TodayAnother
dramatic example of population control is the tragedy being
played out in the "former" Soviet Union today in regard
to male longevity. In Russia, the life span of the average
Russian male has dropped precipitously over the past several
decades. The average life expectancy of an American male is 74-78
years of age, and in Japan the average life span is 78 years, but
the average life span of Russian men has fallen from 68 years in
the 1970s to 63.8 years in 1985, to 57.7 years in 1994. It is
estimated that, if current trends continue, the average life span
of a Russian male will be 53 years shortly after the turn of the
century. Do you really believe that this shocking reduction in
life span is happening simply by "accident"? The true
cause of this dramatic reduction in life span in Russia will be
detailed in my coming book, "None Dare Call It
Genocide."
29 The Massacres in AfricaOne
has only to learn what really happened to the Christians in
Rwanda between April and July of 1994 to imagine what may lie in
store for Christians here in America at some time in the
not-too-distant future.
After the Christian Tutsis had been disarmed by governmental
decree in the early 1990s, Hutu-led military forces began to
systematically massacre the defenseless Christians. The
massacre began in April 1994 and continued until July 1994.
Using machetes rather than bullets, the Hutu forces were able to
create a state of abject fear and terror within the helpless
Christian population as they systematically butchered hundreds of
thousands of them. The United Nations immediately convened
hearings on the genocide taking place in Rwanda, but Madeline
Albright, the American Ambassador to the United Nations, argued
strenuously that neighboring African nations should not be
allowed to intervene until the "civil war had come to an
end." In reality, of course, there was no civil war since
those being slaughtered had no weapons with which to defend
themselves; it was simply a matter of mass murder.
In addition to blocking intervention by neighboring nations, Madeline
Albright also insisted that the word "genocide" must
not be used, and that the United Nations forces stationed in
Rwanda were not to be allowed to intervene. In the three months
that followed, between one-half and three-quarters of a million
Christians were systematically dismembered, hacked to death, and
slaughtered in the bloody carnage that ensued. Tens of thousands
of Christians were murdered in their churches; tens of thousands
more were murdered in their hospitals and in their schools. On
several occasions, United Nations soldiers stationed in Rwanda
actually handed over helpless Christians under their protection
to members of the Hutu militia. They then stood by as their
screaming charges were unceremoniously hacked to pieces.
At the end of the carnage, in late July 1994, the American
government rewarded the Hutu murderers with millions of dollars
in foreign aid. Strangely, the American press has remained
silent about the fact that almost all of those who were
slaughtered were Christians, and it was the policies of our
government that were primarily responsible for blocking efforts
by neighboring African countries to intervene.
30 There are literally dozens of other examples
of population- control programs which have been implemented
throughout our world by modern-day "Malthusians" in
their effort to ensure that the world population is dramatically
curtailed. To date it is estimated that far more than one billion
human lives have been terminated as a result of the world-wide
abortion programs financed by the United States. In addition, we
are beginning to see the devastating effects of the AIDS epidemic
as this modern-day plague begins to depopulate large areas of
both Asia and Africa. Because of the influence of
occultic population controllers, however, all logical efforts to
address the HIV epidemic throughout the world continue to be
blocked. Rather than utilizing the proven public health
methods used with all other illnesses, advocates of population
control continue to promote both hedonistic sex education and
condom distribution. In the May 1996 issue of "Special
Warfare," a publication of the John F. Kennedy Special
Warfare Center and School, it was noted that: "The
immediate future may present other daunting challenges to Civil
Affairs units. Because of complicated social and cultural
reasons, AIDS already infects a high proportion of the military
and civilian officials of Zaire, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, and other
central Africa countries. In some or all of these countries,
government establishments may collapse in the next 10-15 years.
If this pattern is repeated in other areas where AIDS is
spreading at an alarming rate, then civil rule may also erode or
break down in parts of North Africa, the Middle East, India, and
Southeast Asia."
31 Let me assure you that there really are
hundreds of thousands of occultly energized people throughout the
world today who honestly believe that human compassion is
outmoded, and that the inferior peoples of the world must either
be allowed to die or be actively exterminated. I will conclude
this monograph by quoting from the writings of the English
Churchman, Thomas Robert Malthus (1766-1834). In his "An
Essay on the Principle of Population," Malthus wrote: "All
children born, beyond what would be required to keep up the
population to a desired level, must necessarily perish, unless
room may be made for them by the deaths of grown persons
...Therefore ...we should facilitate, instead of foolishly and
vainly endeavoring to impede, the operations of nature in
producing this mortality..."
32 I personally believe that God expects
each and every of us to become involved in the affairs of this
world until He returns. Furthermore, I believe that all
human life is sacred. We are told that Christians are to be the
"salt and light of the world," the preservative that
keeps humanity from rotting. What is the Christian Church doing
today to preserve the lives of the inhabitants of God's earth;
what are you doing to protect the lives of those who have been
targeted by the forces of darkness? Today, the AIDS epidemic is
beginning to depopulate both Africa and the non-Communist
countries of Asia?

Population control or reduction is a major
goal of the global establishment. In the 1970s. Henry
Kissinger (an Establishment leader) issued National Security
Memorandum 200. which declared that 'population reduction is a
national security goal of the United States.'
Robert MeNamara. former defense secretary under
Kennedy and Johnson. former head of the World Bank. and a leader
in the globalist establishment. has said that global
overpopulation is a worse problem than global nuclear war. And
the Carter Administration's Global 2000 Report demanded that by
the year 2000 the world population be reduced to 2 billion
people. [ED. NOTE: They will miss their goal. but it is
sobering to know that these powerful globalists would like to reduce
the world's population by 3.6 billion people.]
The Establishment has been in the forefront of
the U.S. (and world) abortion movement for decades. It has helped
to find and finance Planned Parenthood and is the catalyst behind
the present war against the pro4ife movement.
Abortion has reduced the U.S. population by 39
million since 1973 - but really by much more if children who were
never born to the murdered babies are considered. Euthanasia is
the global establishment's next major population reduction
project.
Viruses could be the establishment's next major
population reduction gambit. AIDS is probably a manmade
laboratory produced virus. Look for more "designer
viruses" from U.S.. Russian. or other establishment
controlled biological laboratories. It should also be
remembered that one of the major items on the agenda of the
radical environmentalists and deep ecologists is population
reduction.

House Passes Teen Abortion Bill

WASHINGTON (AP) - The House approved new abortion restrictions
today by voting to make it more difficult for a minor to end a
pregnancy.
Under a bill adopted 270-159, anyone who avoids parental
involvement laws by taking a pregnant girl out of state for an
abortion could be prosecuted in federal court. But the vote was
more than a dozen short of the required two-thirds majority, or
286 votes, needed to overturn a threatened White House veto.
Supporters said the measure will protect the rights of
parents, the health and well-being of their minor children and
uphold laws in more than 30 states requiring parental consent or
notification for their minor daughter's abortion.
Opponents argued that most minors already involve parents in
the decision to have an abortion. They said girls who cannot turn
to a parent, for whatever reason, would be isolated and left to
handle the situation alone.
The White House is threatening a veto unless the bill is
amended to exclude from liability close family members,
counselors and medical professionals.
The Senate, which killed similar legislation last year, has
yet to act on a companion measure pending in the Judiciary
Committee.
During several hours of debate, supporters said parental
consent is needed for many schools to give aspirin to their
children or take them on field trips.
``But for a dangerous and sometimes fatal procedure a child
... can be transported across states lines without a simple
notification of their parent,'' said House Majority Whip Tom
DeLay, R-Texas. ``This is criminal.''
Other supporters said such a law would protect minors from
adult men who often get them pregnant and then insist and even
help them get abortions.
The bill would make it a federal misdemeanor for anyone other
than a parent, guardian or legal custodian to take a girl to
another state for an abortion, thus violating parental
involvement laws in the child's home state.
It would not apply if the abortion was needed to save the
girl's life, and neither the girl nor any parent may be
prosecuted or sued.
Violators face maximum penalties of a year in jail and
$100,000 in fines, and parents whose daughters had abortions
could pursue a civil lawsuit.
Opponents noted that all teens don't come from loving homes
and that other family members could end up in jail for simply
trying to help.
They also said the bill was unconstitutional and argued that
it was wrong to punish people for crossing state lines to obtain
a legal service, such as an abortion, when they can go to another
state to buy a gun or lottery ticket with impunity.
Before the bill reached the House floor, Republican leaders
rejected amendments that Democrats sought to exempt close
relatives and counselors from prosecutions, and also to withhold
prosecution for pregnancies caused by incest.
``What will the police do? Are they going to set up 'granny
checkpoints' to catch grandmothers helping their
granddaughters?'' asked Rep. Nita Lowey, D-N.Y., one of the
House's strongest abortion rights advocates. ``Will we have dogs
and search lights at state borders to lock up aunts and uncles?''
Rep. Charles Canady, R-Fla., said that, in such cases,
relatives can help by assisting the minor in getting a judge's
permission for an abortion, as many of the state laws allow. But
opponents said that option doesn't always work.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The House passed new restrictions on

Those voting for the measure included 206 Republicans and 64
Democrats; opposed were 14 Republicans, 144 Democrats and one
independent.
Supporters argued such a law would safeguard parental rights,
protect the health and well-being of minors and uphold the more
than 30 state laws that require the notification or consent of at
least one parent for a minor's abortion.
During more than three hours of debate, proponents noted that
many schools will not distribute aspirin or take students on
field trips without a parent's approval.
``But for a dangerous and sometimes fatal procedure a child
... can be transported across state lines without a simple
notification of their parent,'' said Majority Whip Tom DeLay,
R-Texas. ``This practice has to stop.''
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., said minors also would be
protected from the adults who get them pregnant and then spirit
them away for abortions.
Without the bill, ``rapists, sex abusers and other violators
can continue to exploit our nation's underage daughters, help
them disobey state laws and continue to rape and abuse them,''
said Ros-Lehtinen, the sponsor.
The bill makes it a crime for anyone other than a parent,
guardian or legal custodian to evade parental involvement laws by
taking a minor to another state for an abortion. It would not
apply if the abortion was needed to save the girl's life.
Violators face maximum penalties of a year in jail and
$100,000 in fines, and parents whose daughters had abortions
could pursue a civil remedies.
Opponents argued that the bill would do more harm than good by
forcing girls without supportive parents to resolve the situation
on their own. Grandmothers and other relatives who help them
would be subject to federal prosecution.
In addition, critics said the bill was unconstitutional and
they questioned the wisdom of punishing people who cross state
lines to have an abortion, which is legal, while guns or lottery
tickets are bought, with impunity, in other states.
``Why should we make an exception here?'' asked Rep. Tammy
Baldwin, D-Wis. She said 86 percent of counties do not have
facilities that perform abortions and that it is common for women
to go to other states for the service.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, criticized House Republican
leaders for not allowing lawmakers to offer amendments on the
floor.
Democrats had sought amendments, also backed by the White
House, to exempt close family members, counselors and medical
providers from liability.
``Young women have the same right to choose, constitutionally,
as others,'' Jackson Lee said. ``This (bill) is not going to
diminish abortions. This is only going to take away the rights of
young people.''
But Rep. Charles Canady, R-Fla., said opponents were motivated
by their dislike for parental involvement laws. Instead of
circumventing state law, he said relatives who want to help
should assist the minor in getting a judge's permission for an
abortion - an option that most of the state laws provide.
``This is not a bill which is aimed at the right of adults to
travel,'' Canady said. ``This is a bill which is aimed at the
protection of minors.''

Arson Suspected at Abortion Clinic
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Arson was suspected in a fire early
today at a clinic where abortions are performed. The blaze caused
slight damage to the outside of the complex but no injuries were
reported.
The fire at the Choice Medical Group was contained about 20
minutes after it was reported at 3:20 a.m., said fire dispatcher
Tom Shotwell.
``We know only that it was an apparent arson,'' said FBI
spokesman Nick Rossi.
Jim Hartley, division chief of the American River Fire
Department, said the three of the four entrances to the two-story
office complex housing the medical clinic were damaged by fire.
A trash bin in the rear of the building also was damaged,
Hartley said.
``We are in the middle of a preliminary investigation. Despite
a lot of speculation, we don't want to come out with a cause
prior to more investigation,'' he said.
Shotwell had said earlier that an investigator at the scene
told him it was a firebombing.
``If it's an arson attack on an abortion clinic, then I think
everyone needs to be concerned,'' said Katherine Kneer, chief
executive officer of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California.
``Whether or not you believe in a woman's right to abortion,
it's an attack on Democratic principles that every American holds
dear,'' she said.
Last month, arson fires were set at three synagogues in the
Sacramento area, causing an estimated $1 million in damage. There
have been no arrests.
Fires were set within minutes of each other June 18 at the
150-year-old B'nai Israel in Sacramento and two suburban temples,
the Congregation Beth Shalom and the Kenesset Israel Torah
Center. Anti-Jewish fliers were found at two of the sites.
Rossi would not speculate on any connection between the
synagogue blazes and today's fire.

WASHINGTON — Rejecting an anti-abortion amendment
introduced by a Republican congressman, the U.S. House of
Representatives Tuesday agreed to fund a United Nations
population program, removing the main obstacle to passage of a
$2.4 billion foreign affairs funding bill.
The bill, in its second day of debate, would authorize $1.4
billion dollars to protect U.S. embassies around the world from
the threat of international terrorism.
Washington's drive to fortify its overseas diplomatic missions
came less than a year after two bombings last August ripped apart
the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, killing at least 226
people and injuring thousands.
"Unless we can do something about it, such acts of
terrorism are more likely a prelude of things to come,"
declared Republican Rep. Doug Bereuter of Nebraska.
As they did last year, however, Republicans linked the vexed
anti-abortion issue to the foreign affairs bill.
Republican Rep. Christopher Smith of New Jersey introduced an
amendment to prohibit U.S. funds for the U.N. Population Fund
(UNFPA) because of the belief by some GOP members that the
organization condones forced abortions in China.
"This is all about forced abortion," said Smith.
"The UNFPA has been complicit. They have supported it. And
they have said it with their statements and been part of a
cover-up."
In a vote Tuesday, however, the House effectively blocked the
amendment, adopting instead a compromise put forward by members
from both parties. This restores U.S. funding to the UNFPA, but
stipulates that the monetary equivalent of any funds spent on
China or used to finance abortions can be withheld from the
agency.
"I am proud to say that today a bipartisan group of
members has voted to restore U.S. funding to the UNFPA, an
organization which critically serves mothers and babies,"
said Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y. "UNFPA aids women,
children and families in approximately 160 countries around the
world where health care structures are fragile and in need of
support from the global community."
Last year, House Republicans made payment of U.S. debts to the
U.N. conditional on a ban on aid agencies that lobbied foreign
governments to ease anti-abortion laws.
The payment of U.N. arrears has not been included in the
current bill, which authorizes operations for the State
Department. It provides for total spending of $2.4 billion,
including $750 million for refugee assistance and additional
funds for various other foreign affairs programs.
The main focus, however, is shoring up embassy security.
"Our nation has never been more vulnerable to its enemies
than it is today," said Rep. Benjamin Gilman, a New York
Republican who chairs the House International Relations
Committee. "Unfortunately it took a catastrophic double
bombing in East Africa to teach us that lesson."
After last year's embassy bombings, a State Department panel
headed by retired Admiral William Crowe recommended that
Washington spend $1.4 billion each year for the next 10 years to
make U.S. embassies safer.
House members noted that the current bill matches Crowe's
recommendation and should provide sufficient short-term funds for
needed improvements.
