Statement of Faith

Founders Thoughts
| SECTION 1 Inspiration of
scriptures. We believe that this Bible is the Word of God, verbally inspired
in the original writings. (2 Tim 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:21) SECTION 2 The Godhead. Composed of
the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. We believe that all power is vested
in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Deut 6:4-5, Matt 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14,
Luke 1:35, John 1:14, and Col. 2:9.) SECTION 3 Man. We believe that man
in his natural state is a sinner, lost, undone and without hope and also
without God. (Eph. 2:1-2, 12~ Romans 3:19-23~ and Gal 3:22. ) SECTION 4 The redemption of man.
His salvation through godly sorrow that worketh repentance. That man is saved
by the washing of regeneration whereupon he is a born again believer in
Christ Jesus being justified by grace through faith and by the blood of Jesus
Christ, the Son of God then becomes an heir of God. (John 3:3,5, & 7;
Titus 2:11; 3:5,7: etc.) The inward evidence is a witness of the Spirit of
God (Rom 8:16) The outward evidence is a life of holiness and righteousness
before God and his fellow man. (Lk 1:75) SECTION 5 Entire sanctification.
It is the perfect will of God for all believers and should be walked in
obedience to God's Word. (1 Cor 1:30; 1 Thess 4:3 and also Heb 13:12.) SECTION 6 Holiness. God’s standard
of living for His people everywhere. 1 Thess 4:7; Heb 12:14) SECTION 7 Baptism of the
Holy Spirit. This baptism is an endowment of power fitting us for service as
in accordance with Acts 2:4. (Acts 1:8; Acts 10:44-48 etc.) SECTION 8 Signs following
the believer. When we abide in Him, it is possible to have the spiritual
gifts in operation as spoken of in I Corinthians in each local church. (Mk
16:17; John 15:5,7; and I Cor chpts 12 and 14) SECTION 9 Divine healing by
the atonement. It is our privilege to lay hands on those that are sick and
anoint them with oil in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ according to James
5:14-15; Psa 103:3; lsa 53:4-5; and also 1 Peter 2:24. "The prayer of
faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. " SECTION 10 The second
coming of Christ- First to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the
living saints to meet Him in the air, the great tribulation period, and the
return of our Lord with His saints in power and glory to reign upon the earth
1000 years- (1 Thess 4:14-18; Matt 25:31; Acts 1:11; Rev- 20: 4; Jude 14-15;
John 5:39; 1 Thess 1:10; 1 John 3:1-3; and Matt 24:44) SECTION 11 The resurrection.
Of the once glorified of our Lord. and just before the 1000 years and the
unjust after the 1000 years. (Acts 2:22-24; 1 Cor 15:2-8; Rom 8:34; Dan
12:2-3; and Rev 20: 4-6.) SECTION 12 Heaven and Hell. The everlasting blessedness
and reward of the righteous and also the everlasting punishment of those
wicked, who rejected the Christ of God. (Matt 25:46; Luke 16:19-25; etc.) SECTION 13 The Church
ordinances. THE LORD'S SUPPER (Communion). Should be served often. (Lk
22:19-20~ 1 Cor 11:23-26.) WATER BAPTISM by immersion, in the Name of the
Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Jesus name, according to his command.
(Matt28:19; Matt 3:13-17; Acts2:38; and Romans 6:3-4.) FOOTWASHING. (or as
some say feet-washing.) of the saints as practiced by Jesus and the
disciples. (John 13: 4-17. ) Jesus said, "If ye know these things, Happy
are ye if ye do them. " SECTION 14 The Church. It
is the Body of Christ...truly the habitation of God through the Spirit. Each
believer born into this Church by the new birth and is a part of the great
assembly here on earth and those whose names are written in heaven. (Heb.
12:23; Eph. 1:22-23; and chpt 2:22.) SECTION 15. The deity of
the Lord Jesus Christ. In his virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles,
in his atoning death, his bodily resurrection, his ascension to the right
hand of the Father, in his personal future (near) return to this earth etc.,
set up his kingdom with power and glory and to rule with his saints 1000
years. SECTION 16. The five-fold
ministry. In the local churches today, able to function as ordained of God.
(Eph 4:11-16.) |
