Thanksgiving...was yesterday. It was a strange one, without my grandfather, whom passed away from cancer August 8th. It was one of my first losts of somebody close to me. At the funeral I had been faced with many thoughts and fears. Part of the problem was that I had no clue what to expect. One fear though was being unable to show sorrow, I was sad, just wasn't sure how to show it. I had emailed a friend who helped me more than they could know. I believe that this would help others going through similar situations. Hope you don't mind me quoting you,

"Life is a celebration and you should honor him by celebrating his life and the part you have played in it. Always remember the good and wonderful times you shared together and if you should find yourself crying, that's okay too. I honestly believe your faith in God is the driving force behind your feelings. You realized that he is going to a better place that has already been prepared for him. Our tears only to serve us, those left behind as a way to grieve for ourseves, not our loved ones."
