Have you seen suffy's ghost pics yet? Brrrrrrrr
Dallas is where I call home although I was born in Shreveport, La. and moved to Texas when I was 8.
Lived in Texarkana, which is right on the border of Arkansas,in fact the state line goes right through the middle of town, part is in Arkansas and part is in Texas.
Ok some more facts about me...*thinking* Well okay I figure you would want to know what I might want to know about you, right?
I came out kind of late in life...one of the many forced to hide who i was because of society's pressures. I don't want to get into what for many would be a familar story so I won't...besides this page is a celebration of me in life...Life right now and I am content and happy. I would say to those hiding though...test the waters friends and when you are ready come out...despite all it entails there is a magnificent freedom in being who you really are.
Now with that said, here's a little of what I think you wanted. My Birthday's--June 19, 1952 and that means I am a Gemini through and through, as they say sometimes "Two for the price of one". My favorite color(**watching to make sure suffs spells American--ain't it great to have a secretary?) is purple. I have dark brown to black hair only because I hide the grey, hehehe and brown eyes. Warm brown eyes. *S* And stand at 5'4 3/4" tall.
Pardon me? What's my favorite book? Well that's a hard one I've read so many but if I have to choose, Dante's Inferno, An American Tragedy and Thornbirds. Also love to read poetry, Rod McKuen being a favorite of mine. Love Greek and Roman mythology, anything concerning science, especially medicine.
Hmmmmmm music? Just about anything except rap and hard rock. Love to listen to the oldies from the '50's and 60's, love music from the Big Band Era and yes, even country old and new. For the last five years or so have gone to sleep at nite to Yanni, In My Time, favorite of all his works. Love John Denver,God rest his soul, and Mac Davis, their music paints such vivid pictures.
Love being outdoors, love mowing the yard & digging in the dirt. Not much I haven't tried to fix around the house from plumbing to hanging ceiling fans, painting and most everything I'll try at least once. Have many tools from screwdrivers, cordless drills, skill saws and even a chain saw, am lost if I don't have tools. Even fix a lot of things on the truck and yes I can change a tire. Hey I'm not butch...let's just call me a highly independent femme :o). Heck fingernails can and do grow back LOL
What a perfect evening would be, gentle rain outside, fire in the fireplace and/ or soft candle light everywhere, soft music in the background, laying on the floor with lots of pillows, just listening and watching the light dance and the shadows it makes and someone to share it with (***peeking at suffs) or walking along a beach and sitting and watching the moon rise and seeing the light dance across the water and the gentle lapping of the waves on the sand.
Well hope this helps, let me know what else you need or want and I'll try to oblige. Ooooooops, just looked at the clock and it's 3:15am so much for getting to bed at a decent hour, but doing this was kind of relaxing.
Oh hang on--don't leave yet! My best gal suffs calls me a
PACKRAT and yes indeed I collect all manner of things. Norman Rockwell calendars, prints, Hummels, Old farming tools and the list goes on...I do have to say that most of it has been in the family for decades and has sentimental attachments.I have an extensive "apple collection" that most people would notice the moment they entered my home.I have a few boxes under my kitchen table and just about everywhere you peek you will find a box or two...I keep telling my local friends that yes I do plan on organizing at some point but you know...they all just smile and shake their heads".;
o)
There are many of you out there and I will do the best to note you all. Please though if I have overlooked you...don't panic! It's a matter of simple neglect and forgetfulness and honestly not spite. And I myself would be horrified to think that I forgot to mention you. So please just let me know and I will fix it ASAP!
These people help to make online time so much more fun and I'd like to thank you all for becoming an important and oh so valuable part of my life."
She's been nice enough over the years to not only share her kids but her grandkids also. At one time she and I drove long haul together, now that was not only work but also a lot of fun. We drove Dallas to LA and sometimes San Francisco and many points in between. One of our strangest loads was a whole truckload of cow tongue going to Tokyo. Glen's the kind of friend that when you call and need her she drops everything and she's there, but the feeling is mutual and I've done the same for her many times over.
Sometimes people think I am too quiet in chatrooms, mostly that is because you all are such whizkids with your speedy typing...Heck I am lucky to keep up! LOL. I have a great sense of humor and laugh at myself and the silly things that happen to me from time to time. I think I am a shy woman for the most part and very private about most things.
Friendship is one of life's greatest gifts and the Golden Rule is something I think most important to adhere to. Down here where I hang out being friendly to people isn't just appropriate...it's downright expected.
We get a lot of hot weather in these parts and 110 in the shade is not uncommon...Having coffee with Baco or Jack one way I try to forget about the heat. *Frying eggs on top of a car a possibility although just a little icky what with all them mosquitoes plastered to the grill *W*. Oh and hey i have been to VANCOUVER BC twice and met up with suffs and squigg also known as LYCOS_hudson :o)and my long time pal Scott (Burnaby).
I have taken recently to hanging out at gay.com where my pal suffs is now a monitor (Y'all may know her as huckleberry_monitor and she's one of the nicest :o). To check out Gay.com click on the link below...The chats are a little "enthusiastic" but most of the peeps i have met there are neat and i think you would like them as well.
Here's me at jan's (suffy) place and with me are orbs- Orbs are supposedly the spirits of the dead aka GHOSTS! Jan has a real interest in this stuff and since I'm always open to new ideas-this also interests me. I was with jan when she called her dead cat and took pics as the orb floated over to her...it was very strange...and all these pictures can be seen on her great ghost site!!! Even some by me!!!Archive pages-pictures 61-70
