Waving Lone Star Flag Philadelphia 2000 Waving Lone Star Flag
The arrival date was July 16, 2000, time 1:15 AM. Our flight into Philadelphia was delayed 2 hours because of weather. By the time I arrived at the hotel, it was 2:00 AM and I had to be at the office at 9:00 AM.

My first weekend in Philadelphia dictated that a visit to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall was required. You don't go to Philadelphia unless you see these two sites first. Here are some pictures of these two sites. Please keep in mind that these pictures were taken with one of those disposable cameras, so quality is lacking.

Place your cursor on the picture for the description. There are 16 pictures. Depending on the speed of your internet connection will determine how fast they download. You may want to get something to drink and come back.

The hotel and office are in the same block right in the middle of the city. In the mornings, I walk out a hotel side entrance into a 2 level shopping mall lined with shops and eateries. Under the glass domed rotunda of the mall, SUNOCO sponsored an exhibit for the Republican National Convention.

Take a look at these pictures and tell me they did not use sand.
