This photo album is dedicated to pictures showing the restoration of what remains of the old Texas & Pacific (T&P RR)Depot that was located in Owentown, TX. Most of the old depot has been lost through the years for scrap lumber or vandalism. However, one East Texas man has grabbed the opportunity to save what remains of this old depot. He's bought the remaining part of the old T&P RR depot, had it moved to private property, started a major fast track restoration of the old freight station section of the depot, and giving it new life. The old depot section will become part of the live steam railroad he is building on his property. Take a look at these pictures and watch the progress as the project moves forward. Maybe someday in the future we will see some 7" gauge live steam locomotive's sitting at the station waiting for passengers to board the train for a nice, country view ride through this East Texas railroad in the making.
