The Lady Eagles defeated Italy in the first round of the Valley Mills Tip Off Classic very decisively. Everyone played a good defensive game. Leading scorers for the Lady Eagles were Brandi Young with 19 and Katy Frerichs with 19. Brandi added 5 rebounds and shot 42% from the floor. Katy had 6 steals, 3 assists and shot 80% from the floor. Bonnie Johnson had a great defensive effort coming up with 7 steals, 4 assists and shooting 67% from the floor for 11 points. Kristi Davis and Katy Owens both had 8 points. Kristi shot 67% from the floor and Katy shot 50% from the 3-point line. Courtney Griffin added 6 points and Brandee Terrell had 2 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Great game ladies.
