II. Materials Needed for class

2 # 2 Pencils

Blue or black ink pens

2 spiral or bradded notebooks. (1 for notes; 1 for journal)

Notebook paper

Yellow highlighters

Textbooks


III. Classroom Rules

1. Get to class on time and be in your seats when the tardy bell rings

2. Bring your materials to class every day ( See above)

3. Avoid doing anything that would distract others from learning, such as talking, passing notes, or getting out of your seats during a lesson.

4. Leave chewing gum, candy, or food and drinks in the cafeteria or at home.

5. Learn the rules of the school and follow them

IV. Grading System

For English 2 and English 2-Honors, grades are divided into two categories: major grades 60% and minor grades-40%. Unit tests, essays, long-range projects, etc., count as major test grades. Pop tests, reading checks, weekly quizzes, etc., count as minor grades. Journal entries, reading questions, or any other nightly homework assignments count in the 40% category.
