OUTBACK, PIPES, SWERVE AND TAILGATE MINI-AUTOBOTS

These were the final additions to the swelling ranks of the Mini-Autobots, and were introduced in 2006, shortly after the final battle with Unicron. There is little information available on them individually.

OUTBACK

Outback is the aussie Autobot with an attitude. He transforms into a land rover, and is armed in both modes with an oversized laser cannon. He is equipped with what he calls his "Decepticon Detector", which is a built-in device capable of tracking Decepticon energy signatures. He was the first of the new Mini-Autobots to appear, helping Blaster to track down the whereabouts of the Decepticons after they were ousted from Cybertron following the Autobots' return to power.

PIPES

With the Autobot leader Rodimus Prime busy opening the Galactic Games, the knowledgeable Pipes was left as head of Autobot operations on Earth. Autobot City was in ruins after the Massacre of 2005, so Pipes returned to using the Ark as Autobot headquarters, and oversaw the reconstruction of a small portion of the destroyed city into a sentient fortress named Metroplex. Blurr, Wheelie and Sky Lynx were subsequently sent on a mission to obtain a new transformation cog for Metroplex, but before they returned, the newly-built Decepticon city of Trypticon attacked and destroyed the Ark. When Blurr, Wheelie and Sky Lynx returned, Pipes installed the cog within Metroplex, who transformed and defeated the saurian city. Pipes transforms into a truck cab.

SWERVE AND TAILGATE

Two rather nondescript Minibots, they only appeared during Trypticon's attack on the Ark. Swerve was crushed under the dinosaur Decepticon's foot, but what became of Tailgate is unknown. Swerve transforms into an armoured vehicle, and Tailgate transforms into a sports car.
