Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., a national business and professional Sorority, was founded in Chicago in 1929 by Mrs. Lola M. Parker.  It has since grown to more than 100 chapters with an approximate membership of 5,000 chartered in 100 cities, the District of Columbia, and St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

 

Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is affiliated with the National Council of Negro Women, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, and the National Committee for Children and Youth, and is accredited as a non-governmental organization at the United Nations.  It also supports the NAACP, the Urban League, the United Negro College Fund, the Black Woman’s Agenda and the Assault on Illiteracy.

 

Alpha Rho Chapter, a member of the Southwestern Region where sisters are sisters in every sense, is always looking for “a few good women” who are willing and able to commit to our purpose.
