Alpha Kappa Chapter was organized in 1975 by the following chapter members: Casper Adams, Naurita Chambers, Dorothy Gilbert, Willie Graves, Myrtle Green, Earnestyne Leonard, Dorothy Matthews, Bertha Ann Moore and Lillian Parker.

The first two presidents were Naurita Chambers and Lillian Parker.
