Education in Today's Society......
need I say more?
Well,
after Graduating with my Class in June of 1999, I decided
to look back at my days when I went to School. Since
then, it has donned on me that it seems that the majority
of Teachers these days just don't seem to care about
the education students receive. In the entire 12 years
of school, I have only had about 9 teachers that actually
made learning fun. These few teachers recognized the
potentials, etc. of their students and made the class
fun. Now, mind you what I'm going to say is not coming
from a crappy student, on the contrary I was a great
student: I passed all my tests (from Honors English
to Physics to Economics (w/o ever studying =P )) and
did all my work (I'm not saying that I'm perfect, I
screwed up alot during the years). The rest of the teachers
could care less if you passed or not. I witnessed teachers
ask why a student doesn't come to class and when someone
says "oh, he/she dropped out!", the teacher would just
say "Oh, OK" and that would be it. Heck, some
teachers can't even teach! I have had a few teachers
that refused to change their teaching habits to accommodate
their students needs, and thus half the class began
to fail. Other teachers just like to talk about themselves
and what they used to do or what they are doing somewhere
and even still the majority of teachers will just up
and give-up on a student, if the student doesn't do
their work and/or other things...
I mean
come on people! Why do you think American kids score
lower than their foreign counterparts?!? Here are some
reasons:
1.
Families are not as good as before, many kids have to
live in divorced or abusive homes or even still their
parents just seem to let the kid do whatever they want
and get whatever they want.
2.
Today, Schools do not have appropriate funding to do
anything anymore. They have to cutback on after school
activities, they have to use books that are 10 years
old or approaching!
3.
There is a serious lack of obedience in schools these
days, it always pissed me off when some jerk would start
talking loudly with some one across the room, and/or
acts like a wise-ass with the teachers and/or other
students.
4.
Many students would rather drop out then get an education,
because "I don't like school!" or "Its
to hard!". This seems to be rising these days...
they would rather work at burger king and/or sell some
dope than actually learn something! People if you are
like this you are STUPID! Let me put it in another way...
do you want to make $5 an hour for the rest of your
life or do you want say $25 an hour? You need and education
Anyway,
