Southern IL Vacation

DAY 1: This day was started with loading up the car. We then kidnapped both of our mom's
and took them out to see a bunch of historic houses in town as a way for them to
do something together. The moms don't know each other very well and it's time
they started. We got on the road by 3pm and made it down to Marion, IL by 8pm.

DAY 7: This day was started by packing up the car for the journey back home. We were
both sorry to see this happy place get smaller in the mirror. On our way out we stoped
in Murphysboro to see an Occult Store that we were told about in Makanda. We ended up
taking the long way there because of Apple Festival. Once there we started looking around.
I found a giant book about rocks, gems and minerals that included some of my rare stones
that no other book had so I bought it. Then we made the 5 hour drive back to Elgin again.
Diane was able to come out and play so we went out to dinner with her once we got back
into town. It was a nice welcome home getting to see a close friend.
Then we had the joy of unpacking the car at 9pm.
