Just thought I would write a small story about me and how I got started raising and selling gerbils!
(Introduction)
My name is Kristen I am 15 years old I have been breeding gerbils for 6 years..Since 1994 I was 9 years old when I started.I live in Port Neches Texas it is a small city and for you that do not know where it is located I can give you a hint we are about 2 hours from Houston Texas!We have lived here in Port Neches Texas for 3 years.I live with my grandmother and step grandfather.My mother and my half sister lives in Austin Texas which I am sure most of you know where that is! :-)
(How I got started)
In 1994 when I was 9 years old when I lived with my mother in Austin Texas in a small apartment we were looking for easy and small pet to have! Well we were more thinking about getting a hamster but they did not have any but they said we have gerbils and we were like what is that?....And they showed them to us and we feel in love with the little furr balls! So we got two,2 females well at least thats what we though...Well about one month later we saw some little pink things crawling every where! So I got real intrested in breeding them..So I went to the library and checked out all the books they had on gerbils I learned alot about them...So I started breeding them and thats about it about how I got started!
