VSE San Antonio BBQ
The following observations were made Dec 8 at approximately 11:45

1. There were no fire extinguishers present.

2. Half face mask, no filters, adjusted improperly and chin/neck strap not connected.

3. No protective gloves.

4. No face shield.

5. Bald tires on trailer.

6. Manager sitting on tailgate that was not load tested.

7. Edible materials uncovered.

8. No testing done on food items.

9. Inoperable thermostat on fire.

10. Using oak instead of mesquite for fire.

11. Fire within 50 feet of vehicles.

12. No burn permit.

13. Fire department was not notified.

14. Rat traps within 5 feet of food.

15. No fume extraction equipment.

16. Fire wood not stacked neatly.

All individuals were counseled IAW VSE Policy and told to straighten up and fly right and their response was that they had no way to fly at this time, this was considered a wise remark and they were counseled for that also.
