USS McKean DD/DDR 784 Reunion 2005 Page

The 2005 reunion will be held in Buffalo, NY at the Adam's Mark hotel September 9-11. The negotiated room rate is $85.00. The hotel provides comlimentary transportation to and from the Buffalo Airport, as well as complimentary self-parking with "in and out" priveleges. You may also get the special room rate for 3 days prior and 3 days after the reunion.The hotel reservation number is 1-800-444-2326. Make reservations at least 30 days prior to your arival date and identify yourself as a member of the McKean reunion to get the specail rate.

Bob "Toke" Tokarczyk is heading up this year's reunion and he has a very full schedule planned, including a visit to the Naval Park, a 2-hour lunch cruise. He has also chartered a 6-hour bus tour of the U.S. and Canada, which includes a ride on the Maid of the Mist at the base of Niagra Falls. If you've never seen Niagra Falls, you'r ein for a treat. No words can describe the breathtaking beauty and power of the falls. A BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR PASSPORT WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THE TOUR.

As is tradition now, an auction will be held at the end of the reunion. This is a fun event, as well as a great fund-raiser for the association. Be thinking about what you can donate. Also, everyone like looking over memorabilia, so bring what you have.

Something new this year is the making of a McKean shipmate scrapbook. With each letter that last went out is a form for gathering shipmate information. Even if you are not attending the reunion, please send in the information for the scrapbook.
