Dave's Leather Work!

Ferocious Tiger

I've been tooling leather off and on for about five years. A good friend of mine, John Salazar, taught me the basics. It's a lot of fun.

When I made the tiger, I used a clip art picture, and then traced, tooled, and painted the leather using acrylic paints. Finally, I stained it brown. This project took approximately 30 hours to complete. It looks nice now in a wooden frame with black leather matting.

Whimsical Clowns

These clowns were also clip art images which I tooled, painted, and stained brown. I like clowns because I definitely have my silly side.

Book of Mormon Characters

The following three images are actually one large picture of Book of Mormon characters that have beem divided into three images in order to highlight the detail and to fit them in my scanner.

These three men are Book of Mormon Characters known as Nephi, Enos, and King Benjamin respectively.

These three Book of Mormon characters are Sam, Alma, and Captain Moroni respectively.

These Book of Mormon characters are the Sons of Helaman, the Brother of Jared, and Moroni respectively.

By the way you can read all about these incredible individuals in the Book of Mormon!

This is a wallet I made for my brother. Like me, he's an Eagle Scout. Hence the design!
