Formed in Nov of 1997, ASYLUM’s first season was very successful. Placing fifth in the WGI Texas Regional and winning the Independent A Class of the Texas Color Guard Circuit.. Our show in 1997-98, was based on music by Dan Fogelberg, “Leader of the Band”, and was to celebrate the life of those we loved and had passed away. It was a celebration to say we are thankful for the time we had.

In 1998-99, Asylum started out doing a show known as the "Bug Show". We decided to change the first show for the lack of bug like movement, and went on to a more interesting show called "The Space between your dreams!" The show was based on our shadows at night, which at the end the humans became a shadow. Our goal was to become more competitive, which we are proud of the way the show ended and hoped you enjoyed it!

NOW WE ARE STARTING THE NEW INDEP. WORLD GUARD CALLED ASYLUM/BCB. Asylum and the senior corps Bayou City Blues joined each other to start a new group, giving the chance for everyone to march and be another challenge for us to accomplish. Our theme for the show is a relationship break up, using the piece "Storm" from Vanessa Mae. We have lots to do, but very excited about this year!!!!
