Born Of The Sprit

In Reference to Previous Study, John 3:1-8 "1. There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. 4. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. 6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8. the wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

As we see in verse 1-4 Jesus tells Nicodemus that he must be born again, but Nicodemus has trouble understanding him. So Jesus breaks it down for him in verse 5 Saying we must be born again of the water and of the spirit, and shows us how to be born again.

In this section I am going to show you what is meant by "Being born of the Spirit." As we know the Disciples baptized in the name of Jesus, but something else was to be accompanied with baptism and that was the Infilling of the Holy Ghost. As we know the Holy Ghost is another manifestation of God. And this Manifestation was the next to be shown of God's people after Jesus was resurrected.

Again in Acts 2:38 there is mention of this " Then Peter said unto them Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." But something unique happened to every one that received the Gift of the Holy Ghost in the Book of Acts. They spoke with tongues. Tongues could easily be explained that when you receive the Holy Ghost. God fills you with his Spirit, and then allowing him through prayer to use your tongue to speak in an unknown language. Used for prayer and also used for interpretation of a message from God.

The book of Acts notes that when people received the Holy Ghost they spoke with tongues. Acts 2:1-4, 38, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 11:17, Acts 19:1-6

People do not just feel something as in a good feeling when receiving the Holy Ghost. Jesus said through his parable in John 3:8 that sound accompanies those who are born of the spirit. Jesus also states in Mark 16:17 "These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Now, who ever said that these things were only for the apostles? Many churches in this day and age are rapidly coming to understand all these things talked through this Bible Study. In my experience I have seen not just Apostolic churches practice these things but,I have seen Catholic, and even Donominal churches come to understand these concepts. ( The term Denomination refers to Denominated or Broken from the Catholic Church )

So what happened? In the Year 381 A.D. The Council of Constantinople, Clearly defined the orthodox Trinitarianism, and established that the Holy Sprit was the third coequal person in the Godhead, and over time stopped practicing the speaking of tongues. Why haven't you been taught these things in your own church? Probably because over time your church Founders were never taught these things.

In Closing I hope that you will find an Apostolic or Pentecostal church that teaches these things, and that you will act on these things given throughout this Bible Study. Please take time to digest if needed, pray and continue to search for God.
