Thomas Roe Rains

T.R. Rains was born abt 1846 in Texas and lived in Greenville, Hunt County. He enlisted in 1862 and served until the close of the war, serving in Company A, Heavy Artillery, B.F. Neil, Captain, Hobby's Battalion, T.R. was a carpenter by trade. His pension application was signed by George Stephenson and W.S. McGregor. T.R. Rains died 4 Feb. 1939 in Dallas, Texas and is buried in the Confederate Cemetery , Dallas, Texas.
