Malcom L. Largent

Malcom L. born Jan 25, 1835, was the second son and seveneth child of William James Largent born 1800 in GA and Martha Albritten born June 16, 1806 MS. They came to Angelina Co. in the 1850's. Malcom married March 18, 1958 to Sarah J. Underwood, born AL . In the 1860 census he was 25 and she was 21. They had a one year old son listed as Joseph, whom I think could have been my grandfather. My grandfather's name was Lorenza George Largent and he was born August 18, 1959. He and his sister, Louisa, were first found in the 1870 census as 11 and 7 years old. They were living with Malcom's younger brother listed as neice and nephew.
His name was Thomas Wayne Largent and he named his first son Malcom. This is the reason I think my grandfather Lorenza was the son of Malcom who was called Joseph on the census. The name could have been a mistake by the census taker or the one who transcribed it.
Malcom enlisted at Marion, Elysium Fields in the 18th Texas Confederate Infantry Regiment in May of 1862. The next record they have of him, he had been transfered to the 14th Clark's Texas Confederate Infantry Regiment, Co. K and was listed as being "sick in the hospital". This was dated Oct 31, 1862. It is possable that Malcom Largent is buried in an unknown grave at Camp Nelson, Arkansas.
